I was just thinking that Cleared Hot is gonna blow up in the next few months if he keeps uploading regularly... personally I think JRE is gonna lose a lot of steam when it moves over to Spotify. I don’t even know anyone who uses Spotify regularly and they also don’t have a comment section which, despite what Joe says or thinks, is half the fun.
@Vitalbowhunting4 жыл бұрын
The Kids Nice you nailed it right on the head. Andy is still in touch, still grounded, lives in real world and not hanging out with other pit of touch celebrities at the comedy store. I mean, good on Joe for building and showing what podcasting can do to the world, but he’s a victim of his own success. What you said about the comment section of the JRE podcast is spot on, so much so that I emailed Spotify to tell them to make a comment section for when Rogan makes the move, because it’s half the fun.

When testing mic levels, try to keep the volume being recorded in the yellow. If it’s chilling in green then it’s not loud enough, but if it’s clipping in red all the time- that’s prolly not good. You want it as loud as possible without distorting the sound. Then to avoid clipping and distortions: look up how to use compression. Basically you choose a volume ceiling so that if someone decides to yell or punches the mic or drops it, it doesn’t blow ear drums. This can be done on your mixer, or if you buy an external compressor or afterwards in the recording software (although any distortion that occurs will be permanent). Food for thought. Love what you’re doing!

I like this set, however I don't think that the separate angles of camera are necessary since you both sit in front of the main camera, one angle of a camera where it captures both of you, for me that makes more sense.

1. Like the camera angles. Not necessary, but doesn’t subtract anything from the experience. 2. Affiliate links man! Make money where you can. You deserve it. 3. Question for next round: You’ve touched on civilians being armed to defend themselves against a tyrannical government, stating an automatic AR wouldn’t do much against their various technological advantages. If a civil war between civilians and government did happen, do you really think there’s no way civilians could win?

More questions: Do you feel that having children has robbed (maybe that’s too harsh a word) life experiences that you wish you could get back? At what stage in life do you think, in general, is it best to have children? Medical school may have me relocate to a different state to attend school. My wife and I have decided that, for the most part, it’d make the most financial sense to have her stay where we’re at. Any advice on long-distance marriage for prolonged amounts of time (4 years)?

Hey Andy, I started following you after listening to you on JRE specifically when you talked about TBI, and drop foot. I have been dealing with both of those things now for about 2 years and long story short is there some way I can reach out to you regarding what you personally find helps you deal with these things especially in a dangerous work environment where other people’s safety can be compromised if you are a weak link. Thank you sir.

@TheFireman535shorts4 жыл бұрын
The TBI was a brain bleed that put a lot of pressure on my brain stem and caused me to have a stroke so the foot drop is from the stroke. I have an AFO brace but I can’t put it in my fire boots at least not with what I have now. I will definitely check out the websites, thanks guys!

There was a huge shift under Obama with regards to policy that effected the navy broadly. The "perform to serve" program that had been around really kicked in and started turning sailors against each other instead of the family we were in about 2012. Another huge one was the sexual harassment changes. Neither of these were probably felt in the seal community as they are not "overmanned" and do not have females to deal with.

Getting up early hours is a choice each person has to make themselves, there are offcourse people who get up that early for work, to use an example, i had a woman in the neighbourhood who would get up each morning at 3am, she started doing that when she was early 20ties, right now she is 84, her routine from then till now is still the same, she gets up at 3am, runs 10km ( 7 miles? ) comes home and starts her day, to this day she still runs 10km, total respect for her, but not something i would do, 3am is toooo early.

Why all that noise about Jocko waking up in 4;30? I don't know about other countries, but here in Czech Republic most people are starting at work at 6;00. So if you want make a good breakfast and have some distance to travel to work. It is completely normal to wake up 5 days a week at 4;00/4;30... No big deal.. But what I think is really crazy how Mark Wahlberg is waking up at 2;30 and goes to bad at 7;00 I think. That is completely insane...

I don't know what it is about this but the audio sounds like crap. Its kind of getting clipped and there are other crappy tones in the audio. IE there's been better in this podcast so I don't know what changed but its not good. Example Trevor at 9:41. Its cutting off anything soft as if it shouldn't be there. I do come here for the content though so its not killing it for me.

I think Cleared Hot is gonna get a ton of Joe Rogans audience when he moves over to Spotify... I don’t even know anyone who uses Spotify and they also don’t have a comment section and despite what Joe says about the comment section, that’s half the fun. He’s gonna lose a lot of the culture and fan base of the podcast without that... In my opinion anyways. I’ve already started to lose interest during this quarantine because I don’t wanna hear about the corona virus everyday with a new guest. It’s just exhausting and frustrating and completely out of anyones control, so to just listen to ppl complain about it just irritates me even more.
