Why they always open with Cheap Shot instead of building combo points into a Garrote and then Rupture, I'll never know. So deserved.

Because that isn't the proper play either. The correct play is Sap into a Cheap Shot /stopattack macro, do CS again, then re-stealth and open Ambush and bum rush the mage. This is the only strategy you can do against a geared and competent mage. Needless to say, you need to be running daggers and Imp Sprint as well or you're f'ed.

The correct play is to not use a macro and cheap at 90 degrees

Rogue just doesn't know how to fight a good mage. He's clearly decent at the game, but needs more practice with good mages. He also needs to use Grenades, Imp Sprint, Cheap Shot /stopattack macro, and Skull of Impending Doom if he really wants the win.
