New lavender looks great in gravel!! I too am growing some bait sunflowers in another area to try to save my Sunflower Steve ones!! I have yellow finches that pull the petals out of the flower to get to the nut meats. Lost my lissies to the early heat/drought...miss them. Looks like you will have plenty to dry. YAY!

Enjoyed seeing all your flowers and thanks so much for sharing your thoughts and tips! It is hot and humid here in Mississippi, but I agree with y’all, my zinnia blooms have been tremendous. Everything looks beautiful. I had a doe come with two fawns eating my plants. I sprayed early this year with safer deer and rabbit repellent. It’s supposed to last 30 days, and so far, it’s working great. Early spring they ate my newest iris rhizomes, but they are looking good now. Only one bloomed this year.
