A question : The practice of Hot yoga , being in a room heated for 104 degrees for 45- 75 minutes while performing yoga. After yoga I feel the wellness effects clear thinking and better movement. We shock our bodies with rapid loss of electrolytes , in general the Body core temperature rises. There is always the danger of heat exhaustion and Stroke. When the body is unable to cool down. I heard the Doc talk about precautions with hyperthermic treatment. But he did not go into these dangers of overheating the body for an extended period of time. what I missed from what he was stating was. What factors say terminate the procedure. Great checking a patient B/p every 15 minutes but what about checking his mental status. How is the patient comprehending the treatment. I am not a Doctor and then the Question comes after Hyperthermic Treatments. He mentions cooling period but some people like myself will shock cold shower or bath following the heat. Is there a positive or negative response to how fast you cool your body down.

Would much like to see a study about what the Finnish sauna would do in this field. I mean if something, then the sauna provides the whole body hyperthermia BIG TIME! People in Scandinavia, specially the Finnish do use it daily. Any effects on the statistics?

Great question. No studies I'm aware of on Finnish saunas and prostate cancer. Still there are other health benefits for sure.

Off the top of my head I recall reports of studies that The Fins taking regular saunas 4-5 times per week have a measurably longer lifespan and also a reduced rate of dementia of over 40%.
