I really appreciated your video! I too am a big fan, and have been since I first saw the movie in theaters (1984). Now I share it with my kids... and my grands. Personally I'm guessing Peck (William Atherton) is a Judge or Bureaucrat who caught a lot of flack after the first movie. I really want her to be playing chess with Egon. I'm a fan of English panel shows, and comedians, so I know of James Acaster, and I'm excited to see how he does as Lars Pinfield. I'm happy to see Slimer (aka Onionhead) back. And I really appreciate your hosting this video - just before I watched this I watched a video about GB: FE, and I figured out it was an A.I. generated narrator after it repeatedly mispronounced words and names. I've seen a new trailer Down Under that shows/references a possesor ghost (might explain lion statue and the red ECTO 1 with no passengers) plus there is a black bin bag style ghost (probably possesor again!)

I don’t care what anybody says I don’t care what Dan Aykroyd says that Ghostbusters 2 or even the video game are not Canon I really consider Ghostbusters the video game the third movie the only downside to that is Peter gets involved with a younger woman instead of Dana that’s one of my only issues with that video game.

My one major gripe as a longtime fan too is that they’ve essentially buried the theme song. They’ve used it sparingly in promotional material the last two films. The first two films featured it prominently, and those two will always and unequivocally be the best ones.

Why have I not seen anyone connect the dots to the fact that the "No Eye Witnesses" line could be and probably is referring to the Afterlife movie not the first two. You have to have enough of his lines to fill the B-roll in the trailer without any extra spoilers. Tell me I am wrong.

It's interesting to hear you say other movies haven't respected the originals or the canon. That's exactly how I feel about Afterlife. It exploited nostalgia, while absolutely destroying the mythology and characters. Egon is a deadbeat Dad who lost his mind for no reason, stole the Ecto and the packs and started writing Bible verses on the walls. Inexplicably, Ray and the other GBs turned against him and didn't believe him when he told them there was a temple to Gozer in a mine owned by Ivo Shandor. Lunacy. Not to mention plot holes galore. My hopes for this movie are set low. They're simply not good writers.

@@KevinBridges-e2q It's exactly what happened per the screenplay of the movie. The whole thing hinges on ludicrous contrivances. Egon literally could have sent Ray a polaroid of the Temple to Gozer in the mail. Egon traps the terror dog in a ghost trap, and hides the trap. That means he has defeated Gozer. Gozer cannot manifest without the dogs possessing two humans. So what does Egon's ghost do? Leads his granddaughter to the trap. And what does she do? Let's the dog out. WHY DID HE LEAD HER TO THE TRAP!? He had already won! Terrible, terrible writing. And there are many more issues just like this.
