would you get different results by driving a piece of something like some pieces of 10 gauge copper wire in place of the steel nails, or would the copper wire be stiff enough to work?
@BackyardBowyer3 ай бұрын
The copper would be fine. It will wear down faster, though every time it gets dull or bends, the point can be hammered back into shape. This will make the copper stiffer over time from the work hardening. Jim Keffer of the Puget Sound Knappers chucks copper wire into an impact drill and twists it to harden it before making pressure flakers. His tools are some of the best available. Thank you for watching!

@@BackyardBowyer I knew that copper could be work hardened, but that twisting idea is just genius! It makes perfect sense, and it would be much easier to do than hammering it and make a more precise piece of wire! People are really smart critters :)

For sure! There's a lot of creativity for sure. Another knapper I know hammers his wire into an octagon to work harden it and drives it into a slightly undersized round hole. Claims it keeps the copper from slipping or twisting in the handle.

Save your small glass for Metsobushi. If zgb ever comes back, I want them to test a copper bopper. And if course they gotta give you a shout out. It makes sense bc of ww2 gutter fighting combatives.

I made a solid copper billet cast from solid copper that would make a good hand club.

Try super glue and graphene on your next break. I've been amazed at the stuff I can jb weld with super glue and powders. I've been fallowing Libra knife fighting, Ed Calderon, sneak reaper industries, savage ex creature, scallywag tactical bone tactical Wingard Wearables. Blade people for years sense the youtube content purge. They play with double edged tools Elvia designs ect. Some dive into the npe world bone tactical dies the npe ghost. However I was thinking just imagine Flint knapped tools with that tactical vibe. I still dabble with iron slag in my local area of upper Pininsula MI and toilet porcelain. In Alabama I once found cherry red chert. Beautiful material. That in an Elvia swoop or mahogany obsidian like what you play around with. Wow! Peace bro.

Thank you for the suggestions! I have been thinking about making a large fighting/chopping knife out of a wooden or plastic frame with shorter blades inset along the edges like an Aztec bladed sword club.

Hii Nick, can i use ppr pipe for bow?
@BackyardBowyer3 ай бұрын
I have not tried much ppr. It is very hard to heat up, works well with a fiberglass core. Thank you for watching!
