Shoulder checking to the face is completely illegal, so definitely learn your rules. I know two wrongs don't make a right but it's a fight not a game of checkers. You get hit you hit back that's it.

It's wrong to label a ref dirty based on your false perception. If you watch the fight many of the rough housing antics were done by Kameda, but I wouldn't call it a dirty fight and the ref wasn't hard on either guy. However, when Kameda staggered Vargas with deliberate illegal shots, he had no choice but to deduct a point. When you do something so blatant, you're flirting with a disqualification let alone point deduction. In the final round, Kameda knew he was too far down on the scorecards to win a decision therefore was willing to take a point deduction from connecting with illegal shots in hopes of softening Vargas for the KO, but you somehow accuse the ref of being dirty? SMH

Vargas had a poor showing. For those of you who think he outboxed kameda, maybe re-evaluate what you consider boxing. A bigger and rangier guy getting outlander by someone with half his work rate. Vargas didn’t discourage kameda from constantly applying pressure. Why? Because when kameda closed the gap he was content enough to just tie him up or smother kameda’s work, and when that gambit failed he ate overhand rights and lead hooks. A better boxer would’ve used check hooks to turn an aggressive linear fighter, or used a rangefinder jab to catch kameda with an uppercut coming in. This performance just demonstrated a lazy gameplan. The scores were atrocious

Kameda could have knocked Vargas down a few times or even out but obv that didn't happen. So yeah, Vargas won pretty clearly but I gave Kameda 4 rounds myself.
