Fun fact: Choice Band boosts the damage of Body Press, so you could actually use a Choice Banded Body Press Regirock/Steel to deal absurd levels of damage.

@ because Choice Band boosts the power of physical moves, it’s not specific to moves that use the attack stat. For example, a Pokemon holding a choice band that uses Foul Play also gets a power boost, even though the move uses the opponent’s attack stat.

@@saiyanfreak thats muscle band The Choice Band is a type of held item introduced in Generation III. It boosts the holder's Attack, but locks it into only using one move. It has two counterparts that boost different stats: Choice Scarf and Choice Specs.

@ no I know what Choice Band does. Choice Band boosts the power of all physical moves by 50%, but you are locked onto only one move. That includes Body Press and Foul Play. If you don’t believe me you can try it yourself in-game, or use either Bulbapedia or the Damage Calc website.

The first one is a heavily edited route them, the second is just the gym leader theme ramped up.
