Awesome! I just did this with two ET-2800 (US) and it works great! I have one comment that may help you with printing the white ink. You used the magnetic lasso tool to go around the outside of the image, then color it in. You can do that Way easier. When you have the image merged down to one layer, simply Control+Click on the layer preview (left of the layer title) and it will automatically select every pixel in the layer, no matter the color. While selected, go to Edit > Fill. Contents = Black. Done! Thanks again, I’ve made several shirts already using this method!

Thanks for this. I always thought of using 2 printers to do DTF, but I could not find anyone else doing it, so I thought it wouldn't work at all. They always recommend expensive printers, but I don't want to invest in one while I'm still learning about shirt printing. I have a few questions and a recommendation: 1. Is the white layer necessary if you are placing the image on a white shirt? 2. Have you tried using sublimation ink with the DTF powder? I already have sublimation ink, but if DTF ink is necessary or better quality, I will buy it. 3. In the printer that is only printing white, I believe it will be less messy and less maintenance if you put all the white in the black tank and then just print the image "black." Thanks again. Saved me from having to buy an ET-8550 🤣
@CraftedCustomCreationsАй бұрын
@@andreiblue_ @andreiblue_ hi and thanks for the feedback.. so on question 1.. no you won't need the white layer on white garments as the garment will act as the white.... Question 2... Yes you can use sublimation ink with DTF powder but you can't buy white sublimlimation ink and I don't know if you will be able to layer white DTF ink on sublimation ink as we have not tried this.... And finally question 3 I understand your way of thinking but unfortunately not because the printer won't print if the other tanks are empty and if you fill them with colour you run the risk of cross contamination especially when you have to clean the print head etc..
