Great comment Tommy! Khabib is a practicing Muslim and his Dagestani upbringing is what makes him so special. His parents have taught him to respect his elders and teachers not to be an ignorant and pompous person. When the Romans sent spies amongst the Muslim army during Yarmouk (many of the warriors in the army were companions of Prophet Muhammad), the Roman spies' wrote back about those people that they were warriors during the day and monks at night. Khabib to me seems like someone from that generation due to his patience before the engagement , bravery during the battle but most importantly, humility even after the win.
