Hi Ace are the best of all vans.Mine is a petrol 2RZ motor fuel injection and it just keeps going & going.Changed from diesil bigger motorhomes,paying road tx etc.This one is all I need & more.So much you can do with a Hi Ace. Ive made an awning for the side and bought an inclosed awning for the tail gate at the rear.This has the extra Hi roof with bunk up top aswell.Its a certified 4 berth.Best little motorhome Ive ever owned and I see Vans for full time liveing and touring are takeing off here in NZ.

So many questions. What did you do to mount wood to the steal? How do you do the electrics? Cheers
@davidgiraud744 жыл бұрын
Niall Cahill hi! Just basic metal screw that automatically drill into it however you always want to make sure you r not going to deep and end up with a hole in the body of the van. I couldn’t explain all the electric part here but you have so many videos explaining it in details good luck ;)

Awesome conversion! I have the same And I’m just stariting. I’m having a hard time Getting the wheel chair lift off. Any tips on how to do it?
@davidgiraud742 жыл бұрын
Yeah that was probably the most frustrating thing to do in the beginning, for me I had do unscrew the gas tank under the van to be able to reach the bolts connected the lift. But you don’t have to disconnect all the hoses and stuff from the gas tank, first empty it to make it light (you have a bolt in the center for that. Then you can unscrew a few bolts near the rear side and find a system to lower it down, I used two jack lifts as you can see on the video. Good luck
@davidgiraud742 жыл бұрын
As you can see on the video, the gas tank is resting on the spare wheel I had very few tools 😂 Also it’s extremely heavy, probably 150 kg get ready to move it arround
@AridersLifeYT4 жыл бұрын
9:10 - That gas bottle placement under the bed isn't in code for australian regulations. thats a on the spot $11,000 fine if a cop inspects the van and finds that. Gas bottles need to be accessible from outside only with its own hatch.
@grazstarr4 жыл бұрын
Sorry can you elaborate? You can't have access to the gas bottle from inside the van??
@davidglover93714 жыл бұрын
2 things, with the gas bottle in the van, make sure you have a carbon monixide alarm fitted to the wall , just in case...and what you end up covering the rear side windows with, was that just like a cut out put over the window? good job man
@davidgiraud744 жыл бұрын
David Glover yeah I actually bought a gas detector and test it but didn’t seems to work (cheap shit on eBay) so I’m just careful with that. For the windows covering I bought from Bunnings, cut it to the right shape, it’s kind of two lays of plastic with some air space in between, don’t know the name, i thought that could be only good to increase the insulation but it’s mostly to look better from the outside. Thanks 👍
@raphjod4 жыл бұрын
@@davidgiraud74 @david Glover Pretty sure the Product used from bunnings is called Core Flute. Nice van mate 🤙

Exactly James, I’m basically travelling by myself so I wanted a single bed to earn space but I can pull half of the slats out so it make a double size You can see it at the end of the vid
