Love your vid. I also have abandoned the line by line a while ago. Adore full coverage most of all too. However current method is to stay in a 20 stitch diagonal and work cross country down that diagonal. Additionally, I do not reach more than a needle length. I do not reach too far away that may create tension issues. I restrain myself by parking if the reach seems too far and I will finish the stitch when the other stitches catch up with it. My size limit of projects is under 250,000. Most in the 100,000 range. Again love your vids.

Your projects are fabulous.I can’t work on a project for more than 2 or 3 days before I need to move on. I thought of doing a HAED though I don’t think at almost 75 I’d get far as I have a lot of samplers and a couple fancy ladies going on. I’d have to learn mark up or get a tablet for pattern keeper.

I'm loving your work and it's making me itch to do a new start. I'm so glad you are stitching the way you want to- there are no rules. I also mix it up- diagonal to semi- cross country (I stay in the vicinity). Lovely pieces. I also do mine on 22 count. My eyes changed after teaching online to my middle schoolers during Covid. Thanks for sharing.

Fab vid. I think i have different methods of stitching on each of my wips haha and love each method when am doing them. I have the fairy whispers request a size in my stash to. My daughter loves horses/unicorns so I just had to get this one. Great progress on the new start. Have a fab birthday when it comes.

Carla, I sit on a Lazy Boy couch with a magnifier lamp. I would love something to hold my scroll frames so as to be both hands free. Do you have any recommendations?

Hey, just discovered your channel! I’m also in Scotland glad to hear you was safe during the storm. I’m a fairly new stitcher but all my full coverage I have going are different methods just to try everything out but also it keeps it fresh. You should stitch/change your methods to whatever suits your moods. Love all your projects 😍

Hey Carla, good to see you again, nice progress. And as for changing methods, I think that keeps it all interesting. We try to master a technique and it's thrilling if you succeed. You can then stitch in that nice flow. But after a while the flow turns into a routine. The routine gets monotonous and boring. So then you need to change either the technique.... or the WIP. I am on a mission to finish Childhood Sweethearts and after that I plan to rotate WIPs with different techniques. Maybe I can keep the way of stitching the same technique per project. But never very rigidly. I also worked my parked threads in and from there I stitched the threads as far as they go. In my head I call that Cross Neighbourhood😅 or ATWB... Anywhere the wind blows. Love your full projects! I too tend to gravitate to the full coverage. I'm sure you're watching Stitchin the big things with Hallie? She has numerous full coverage charts she completes! I also subscribe to Darling Bluebell who has an excellent stack (15?) Current HAEDs she is working on and they are each enormous! Looking forward to more from you!!!!

I call it modified cross country stitching. I don't like extreme or normal cross country with one thread til it's finished
