As many times as I have seen this agitator in action, it still amazes me how well it performs. I dare say as far as traditional agitators go, this Whirlpool surgelator has to be one of the best.

My father had this machine in his factory used to clean his and his worker’s wash ‘n wear uniforms after their dirty work was done every day from 1963-1978 without a single problem despite the fact that it was set on a wooden skid and on a twenty degree angle and was still working when he sold the business and building.

The first washer I ever grew up on was a Sears Kenmore (Made By Whirlpool).

This is an early version of Wash-n-Wear which repeatedly partial-drains (until the water level pressure switch resets) and refills

I also 👂 hear this through both entire cycles. Could be that the transmission needs overhauled, or replaced. This machine also makes a peculiar "whirr" "whirr", noise, very audible on both spin cycle, as well as both wash cycles. Since February of 2020, you've probably overhauled this machine. I started 👀 ⌚ watching your 📹 videos in June of this year, but I never caught onto the noise this machine was making until today, December 1st, 2020. I hope ya 👌 keep making GREAT washing machine videos. I also 👍 like the turnover from idle to spin on the first wash cycle, along with the motor noise. I'm actually fascinated by the whirring noise on "spin". Your friend, Jeff.

These had to be the fastest filling machines. They were quick. Maytag was another fast filler . My current speed Queen fills quickly also.

I really 👍 like the action of this machine. Regular agitation, to slow agitation, automatically. I think I remember this feature on some washing machines back in the 1970's, but ours was 👎 not one of them. I'd totally forgot about it in all those years. Looks like it would work for delicates, but the machine can't 👌 know to 👎 not do the harder cycle at first. I really 👍 like these washers, especially along this line of them. I bet these could be used commercially, running them 👍 like Caterpillar 🚜 tractors, meaning VERY HEAVY DUTY USE, without the motor burning ☝ up. Even though all this, I think these machines will still stand ☝ up to 40 or 50 years of use and abuse. Try that with today's washing machines, your bound to 🏃 run it right into the ground before 6 months is ☝. These nice Whirlpool's REALLY LAST, 👎 no matter what they're put to the test of. Just don't accidentally use too low a water level on ANY old Kenmore or Whirlpool, or 👎 no water at all. If you do, it's an absolute guarantee on 🔥 burning the motor ☝ up.

I remember in our 1978 Kenmore Model 70 and then a 1967 Kenmore Model 600, they would agitate at regular speed first, then when on the permanent press cycle, they would partially drain, bring in cold water and then agitate slowly, and finish the job with a slow spin.
