@@DanielKovacs I don’t think its a hidden feature, its easily accessible in the menus. What we DO need from BM is a full blown tutorial how to use this app as designed for the iPad. For someone like me who uses iPad exclusively, I am very happy to have this level of editing power, but I’m gonna need a little help navigating all these features. I’m slowly getting the hang of it though..

Thanks for the tip bro, this was driving me crazy. Resolve is not fully usable with only the “cut” tab… dunno how people do it but it’s not ideal. Love having access to the Edit tab now! Next step is finding a way to make the changes stick, it’s a pain to redo this process every time we open resolve…

This is an awesome tip! But when I “upgraded” to the paid version, they took away the ability to get to the keyboard customizer!! Opt-Cmd-K doesn’t work anymore! But luckily I saw the video showing how to add shortcuts to show the different pages, and they still work. Very strange that they took away keyboard customization in the paid version. :(

They did not took it away. Im on the Studio Version and it still works. Could it be that you changed to Premiere Pro Layout? If so… you have to reinstall DaVinci Resolve completely. Something got messed up. But it still works…

@@DanielKovacs Thank you so much for your reply! I changed my keyboard layout to fcpx and modified it to add shift-2 thru 8 to switch to all pages, in the free version before I bought it. I also added Ctrl+ all numbers to show them. (Ctrl-0 to show them all?). For some dumb reason, they removed Opt-Cmd-K from the fcpx keyboard! That’s why I couldn’t get back into it. It should’ve been there, because the desktop version of fcpx has the same shortcut. Thank you so much for your tip of reinstalling!! It didn’t let me reinstall it the first time, but I tried it again and it worked. But I should’ve exported my projects first! Luckily I found an older one that I exported a few days ago. (phew)

How do you get it to work every time? For me it takes like 10 minutes of trying the keyboard shortcut on bluetouch for it to open and I have to redo it every time I open resolve. Bluetouch works perfectly in other apps like Notes.

For me the issue was not creating a new project every time i was working on a new timeline. After creating a new project for every new timeline created everything worked just fine. I’ve also noticed that by using an external keyboard I had less problem overall every time I was working with resolve.

It’s an app Bluetooth keyboard for the iPhone. It’s the one he mentions in the video called Bluetouch. It totally works for me. I still have an iPhone 10X Max. My iPad is the M2 Pro. I hope this helps.

Should this work even if I am using the free version? I can get the keyboard short menu to pop up, but mine didn't list any short cuts beside the Show Page options. This works in the Free Version. You even said that you where able to open the Shortcuts Menu (Option + Command + K). Now you have to make sure to give the right shortcuts some shortcuts. By default they are empty. And it works. Dont need to buy anything

I hade the exact same problem. Premiere Pro has no shortcut for the Shortcuts Menu. I had to delete DaVinci App and install again. When you want to change to Premiere Pro, make sure you give the Shortcuts Menu a shortcut before you close the window.

You have to change the In (i) and Out (o) Points on the Timeline to match your entire Video you wish to render.

Grate idea 💡 i was looking into the Siri Shortcuts App aswell. But i couldn’t find any keyboard actions. So not sure hiw to create that. Maybe someone who is more profound in scripting with Siri Shortcuts. But if this would work, you could even bind Voice activation. And start editing with your voice 😜

Unfortunately only when you reinstall the App. I had the same mistake. I changed the very first time to Adobe Premiere Pro Layout and then i could not open the Shortcuts Menu anymore. So make sure you Backup all your Projects. They will be deleted aswell. And reinstall DaVinci Resolve fresh to your iPad.

Can you confirm the Alt command K is still working or is there anything to fix that because its not opening the shortcut menu. I restarted the app and tried with two different keyboards and still not opening. Its a real struggle. Worked until yesterday and suddenly stopped again.

Hi man it still works. Try deinstall DaVinci and reinstall again! Make sure your keyboard works on the iPad. The very first time i did it, i change the preset to Premiere Pro. But the Problem with that, Premiere Pro does not has a Keyboard Shortcut command to re-open the Shortcuts Menu. So the only way i was able to do it again: Delete DaVinci App from iPad and reinstall.

Ol’a so the Shortcuts are saved. With my Magic Keyboard it works every single time after restart from DR. But on the Bluetooth Keybaord… for what ever reason… i sometimes first have to go in the Shortcuts menu first. Just edit or add one single Shortcut… and than it works again… i dont know why
