I love that you are training for your granny body! That’s what I tell my kids everyday. What we do now, will impact our bodies in the future. Put good fuel in, move your body and keep your muscles strong and your body flexible, and get the rest your body needs. When you are 50, 60, 70, etc. you will be glad you don’t need a hip or knee replacement. I want to be able to move when I’m an old woman. I have seen my grandparents lose mobility and quickly go downhill after that. Movement is everything.

I recommend working to incorporate leg drive on your bench press! the more tension in your entire body (packed lats, core engaged, legs driving hard into the floor) connecting you to the floor, the more force you can output through your upper body. love seeing you continue to promote strength training & building for women!!!

Nicole, It resonated with me when you said, "Im training for my granny body." It makes so much sense and is motivating me even more to bump up preventative measures. I want to be there for my special needs son as long as possible, especially, because I dont have any extended family to lean on ❤ Glad to hear you did well during Hurricane Francine. Can you please do a story time of your experience during Hurricane Katrina?

Yay for a weekly video, they are my fav! In regard to training for your future health, it is soooo important, because if you don’t build strength and maintain it, it will go. I have a friend who I haven’t seen in awhile, she is 68. We were talking on the phone and she mentions how she can’t clean her baseboards anymore or take baths. I was like “what do you mean?!” And she proceeds to tell me that once she gets down she doesn’t have the strength to get back up again. How scary is that and what is her life going to look like in a couple of years? It’s so unfortunate because her situation is 100% due to lifestyle choices - lack of proper nutrition and physical activity. This is not an obesity issue either, this is a frailty issue. She is 115 lbs, but her only consistent activity is watching TV.

I know visually I look fit but my mind still doesn't seem to sync up, been here long while during early keto days, down 65-70 lbs almost 2 years. Saw quote recently saying obesity is hard and being fit is hard, choose which hard you rather live with

Your maintenance cals are nuts. Mine are 1850 ish and I prob weigh more then you and i workout just as much. Def going on a reverse diet after trying to lose weight with almost no success.

I’m in Pierre part, 15 minutes from Morgan city where the eye was near! It was a low hurricane but scary nonetheless for us! We just got power back on Sunday since Sept 11. Thankfully we made it damage free besides power. Glad yall were good friend! 🫶🏻 thank goodness for generators!
