I've written down what he's cooking and eating. I've had to guess at some of the amounts and cooking times: *Breakfast* - Eggs and lox. (700 calories): 3 whole eggs + 1 yolk large pasture-raised eggs 3 tablespoon mild olive oil, divided 2 tablespons Flax meal 4 ounces Sockeye salmon lox 8 Kalamata olives, whole Basil ¼ cup grated Sheep’s milk pecorino romano cheese Beat eggs. Coat pan with 1 tablespoon olive oil. Add beaten eggs to the pan. Keep on low heat. Sprinkle with cheese. Add whole olives. Scramble the egg mixture. Add pepper to taste. Add in basil. Add 3-4 ounces smoked salmon. Sprinkle on 2 tablespoons flax meal. Turn off heat. Add the rest of the olive oil, mix. Add the salt at the end, and serve. *Lunch* - Chicken Caprese salad (600? calories): Thomas makes enough for 1.5(?) servings. Six Small buffalo or cow mozzarella balls, cut in half Six basil leaves, ripped. 6 ounces leftover chicken pieces Sheep’s milk feta 1 ½ tablespoons balsamic vinegar 5 tablespoons bold olive oil 2 tablespoons tahini Cut the mozzarella balls in half. Add basil, chicken, feta, vinegar, and oil. Add tahini on the side. *Dinner* -- Lamb Chops with Brussel Sprout salad. (500? calories/serving) Thomas makes 1.5-2(?) servings. 2 tablespoons beef tallow Six small lamb chops with bone 1 teaspoon each oregano and basil 6 wide slices Prosciutto ½ teaspoon hot red pepper 2 cups pre-steamed brussels sprouts ~10 Kalamata olives 1/2 avocado Juice of ½ fresh lemon 1 ounce Shaved Parmesan 12 months aged 3 tablespoons bold olive oil Lambchops: In a cast iron pan, melt the tallow. Place in lambchops. Add dried oregano and basil. Flip the chops after 5 minutes. Cook until done about 5(?) more minutes. Remove from pan and wrap each chop in a slice of Prosciutto. Cook slow for a minute, turn the chops again and turn up the heat for the last minute to sear the Prosciutto. Brussels Sprout salad: Cut up the ½ avocado into slices and then pieces. Add to sprouts. Add lemon juice to taste. Add olives. Place Parmesan shavings on top. Add olive oil and salt. Mix and serve.

Thomas, I do appreciate your videos a ton, especially the scientific content. In that regards, and I mean it really without offense, I'd like to point out a small correction: salmon is not a mediterranean fish (it's typical of the north Atlantic and north Pacific ocean). In the Mediterranean sea we do have fish that work with keto (sardines, anchovies and similar), but no salmon. We Mediterraneans absolutely love salmon, it's just that is not a typical local fish and we import large quantities of it. So it would be more correct to say that salmon has a similar fat/protein content as other mediterranean fish, and can thus be included in the mediterranean keto even if it's not a mediterranean fish.

John 11:25-26 KJV Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: [26] And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this? The Gospel, which means the Good News is the news that God Almighty, the Creator came in the flesh as Jesus Christ to take away the sin of the world. The one God is a trinity of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. The Son came and laid down his own life to save ours. His sacrifice on the cross paid the price for our redemption with his own blood. On the third day he rose from dead and offers the gift of salvation and forgiveness to those that repent and trust in him. Although God's creation was created perfect, having no death, sickness and disease, the creation became corrupted through Adam and Eve in them disobeying God. In this rebellion the creation became fallen through the curse of sin and mankind became separated from God. This world is fallen, but God offers reconciliation to him through his provision at the cross. Ultimately God will restore his creation to perfection when he returns but those that who reject his offer of redemption will remain condemned by their sins and go to hell. John 1:1,14 KJV In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and THE WORD WAS GOD. [14] And THE WORD WAS MADE FLESH, and dwelt among us, 1 John 3:8 KJV He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. Isaiah 9:6 KJV For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty GOD, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. John 1:10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and THE WORLD KNEW HIM NOT.

@Alex, Great to read your comment. I did Keto 3 years ago for 5 months, but the high fat wasn’t good for me. Gallbladder problems too afterwards. So now, my lab numbers were up, a1c, triglycerides and liver, so I have to do low carb, but not keto. I’m basically doing what is discussed on here, Mediterranean Keto. I do eat some fruit, beans and little bread. I’m also walking. I’m of Italian descent so I know the what they called “peasant dishes”, but aren’t peasant anymore, just healthy dishes eating with my Grandmother, who cooked and from Avellino.

Walk away take a shower, make a coffee and it’s almost ready for salt pepper and cheese. @Thomas DeLauer you should give a low slow omelette a try it will turn out very close to a French omelette that you can roll up and layer your salmon on to ( salmon on my next omelette btw).

Best olive oil is not only the fresh pressed but also the UNFILTERED if you can find it. Way way higher in antioxidants. Also be careful lots of olive oil is adulterated w other oils and even synthetic green neon colorant to make it look intense green. Italy has lots of corruption in its food production. I’m italia I I know . Need to be really careful and you just don’t always know. Lots of balsamic also is counterfeit w sugar and thickening agents etc

@@lucitac8137 There are many as he said in the video look for dark bottles or can and don’t buy cheap stuff. Also if you see IGP or DOP label that’s usually a good sign it’s official and hopefully safer bet. But it’s all really a gamble unfortunately. Italian mafia is a cancer in the country and damages it’s brand severely. Even local Italians do not know what to buy or trust.

Hummus is very easy to make also. You literally throw a couple cans of chickpeas in a food processor with some tahini and add what you want. I love roasted red pepper in it because I’m not a fan of chickpeas but another really good way to eat it is to put avocado in there if you’re going to eat it quickly and you could just take a few chickpeas and smash it in with the avocado and tahini and make an avocado hummus and half of the volume is going to be avocado come out so you can choose a quality tahini throw some chickpeas in their pulse it up a couple times in the food processor and then just take most of the volume out and smash a little bit of it together with the avocado to make an avocado hummus. I went on a bit of a homeless binge or crave and got all obsessed with it for a little while I learned a bunch of different ways to make it but it’s pretty easy and you can put almost anything in it, another thing that’s good is to use onion fiber, process a bunch of onions in your food processor and drain a lot of the juices out of it and then throw it in with the chickpeas. . It’s also great for making things like Koobideh which is meat, usually beef but you can use chicken pork and a lot of times they’ll mix beef and lamb and you over grind it or use it in a food processor to make it not a pate but a little softer than a grind and you mix that with onion fibers and it’s almost got like a meatloaf texture to it but you grill it on skewers for a kebab and you can use the sumac and those Mediterranean spices and it’s amazing, and then you can use some of that onion fiber and make kind of a spicy or hummus with some avocado and you can get a pretty good volume of finish product but the actual chickpeas in there is only gonna be maybe 30 or 40% of that volume so you’re only going to get about half of those calories. And in how much there’s really not that much tahini in there, it just gives it a little bit of creaminess but in recipes I was doing with two cans of the chickpeas I would only put maybe a teaspoon or two of tahini in there. You can make that first and then add the avocado later when you’re ready to eat it so it doesn’t go bad soon that way you’re getting a volume with half of the chickpea carbs and the tahini and you’re getting more avocado and onion fiber with less of the onion juice is where I’m assuming the sugary carbs would be. Also like to put different herbs or roasted red peppers and even a little cilantro when I put the avocado on it tasted really good. Jalapeños can be good in there too and if you slice habaneros very thinly and smaller pieces it’s got a really good flavor that mixes with the avocado, there’s also something about habanero and salmon that does amazing things.

I mixed it up. I cut sods out. I start every morning off with scramble eggs with olives and salmon chunks. for lunch I eat 24 mini wheats with almond milk bc the mini wheats soak up the almond milk and make you feel full all day. then if I get hungry I snack on good fats or apples. Then dinner I do boiled chicken breast. and end the day with some cardio and lift

Awesome vid! Gives me great tips and ideas with my daily meals👌 I too have 1 Tbl (7-10g) spoon of flaxseed a day in a glass of freshly squeezed lemon after a meal. Is this too much to have everyday as a male being that flaxseed is estrogenic? Do i cut back to every 2nd or 3rd day?

I like the idea of this. I started keto and was just killing myself and quit so I dove into it and started watching your videos and a few different doctors and people with experience doing it they were talking about the science and understood what was going on till I understood enough to figure out what I was doing wrong. But I’m trying to go as clean keto as I can, I can’t afford the best of everything but your videos and some others have taught me what I can do to get it pretty clean but I’m not fully convinced that Keto is the perfect diet I think it’s the closest diet out there but I’ve kind of moved on to just eating correctly giving my body what it needs in the amount it needs and combining that in the right combinations of foods with the fasting to just let everything work the way it supposed to. I think the most common motivator of keto is weight loss. And though I’m definitely doing it to lose weight I’m not making up my primary focus I’m just trying to figure out how to eat perfectly and try to stay as close to that as I can but on the keto I’m having some problems keeping my magnesium up so I have to take a supplement. I would like to get to the point where I don’t need to take any supplements and can just eat appropriately. I’m taking a magnesium stearate so I can absorb enough for it but I don’t need anywhere near what they’re suggesting I take which is 200 mg twice a day. I was getting a lot of twitching and dehydration. So I started taking half their dosage and after about three days the twitching was gone and the hydration became a lot easier, I started making green tea with lemon and a couple teaspoons of the pink Himalayan Salt like you suggested and I take a half dosage of the magnesium which is a pill twice a day but if I miss I don’t worry about it and I haven’t had any problem hydrating and the twitching stuff is completely gone. I actually found I was getting some semi-constipation from having too much fiber. I was eating a ton of kale and spinach and dark green leafy stuff which didn’t necessarily constipate me but it was creating a large amount of roughage so I get some of that out and I’m having a little more zucchini and asparagus. This is one thing I found is when you start studying foods that Americans don’t normally eat and you look at regional foods and break it down it just opens up a ton of meal options, I never would’ve thought to put salmon on eggs like that to me Sam and his a chunk of wild caught Alaskan salmon. The way I make it is amazing, rotelle makes a kind of salsa mix which is onions tomatoes and peppers and they make one with a habanero in it and there’s something magic about salmon and habanero. I fry it up in garlic and butter when it’s just about done pour that on there, and for me it’s awesome because I hate fish and it takes away any fishy flavor at all, it’s a bit spicy but I throw a couple tablespoons of that on there and slice them avocado and it’s a five star restaurant meal, It is absolutely amazing and you couldn’t make it much easier you open a little can cook the salmon in butter and garlic and sauté some avocado on top. If you like spicy food it comes out pretty amazing but I could probably handle salmon like this and those thin strips cooked in with something strong like olives or even throw some of that salsa with the habanero on the eggs with it. I know you were saying oysters are pretty amazing also but not a favorite of mine at all. Lol. I also look at a lot of Indian cooking and a lot of it’s terrible but what they do is they take cheap cuts of meat that may not have great flavor or that are tougher or what a lot of butchers would consider garbage meat and they make it taste really good and there are a lot that do that without the sugar or the carbs or bad oil’s. And keeping up with that variety, especially for someone who loves to cook I think it’s pretty important. Starting this whole clean keto thing is cut out about 70% of the food I used to eat regularly. , I also love to cook and grilling and smoking so I already know a lot of those options getting rid of the sugar even though I wasn’t worried about eating that sugar before when you’re grilling and smoking sugar burns so you have to be careful with it so I’ve already got a lot of the research into that which will fit in great with the keto stuff, And then grilling the higher fat equals the flavor is what makes barbecue and all of that so good and that works out pretty great with Keto too. One of the problems with grilling is when you go to do a brisket or a prime rib it’s expensive it’s easy to spend 100 or $200, but those fatty meats freeze really really well and if you slice it and package it right with

the fatty pieces and lean pizzas mixed properly in portions you’ve got three or four months worth of meat already made you just thought out and warm it up or eat it cold or throw it in with your eggs or salads or whatever. I think Keto is very doable. I’ve tried every diet I’ve been on the Jenny Craig and the slim fast I’ve had doctors put me on 900 cal a day and every day I’ve ever done I’ve been crazy hungry I hated it I was miserable and almost none of them worked. The only thing that ever worked for me was just to eat less and my body would plateau at 350 pounds and stay there forever I went down to 1200 cal a day after an injury where I weighed 430 pounds I got down to 350 pounds eating only 1200 cal a day and stuck there for more than eight months before my doctor lowered me to 900 cal a day and I was able to lose another 80 pounds and even at 900 cal a day I hit a plateau in about 270 pounds and eating almost nothing I would still bounce around between 265 and 270 and stay there for months and finally give up because I was just starving myself and not getting anywhere. Now after learning what foods do my doctor was recommending the worst thing for me I was eating lean beef lean chicken breast and a vegetable medley that had green beans which was good but it also had corn carrots and peas and that was pretty much all I ate and very very small amounts and of course he had me spread it out over several meals throughout the day. I almost never get hungry anymore on keto I’m eating two meals a day I’m eating probably A quarter of the volume I eight before. And I know one thing a lot of people complain about your videos is the price and how you’re saying to buy the good stuff. And people say it’s worth it it’s your body it’s your health pay a little more but one thing you don’t get when you’re thinking about that when you’re eating 1/4 of the amount of food in your full all the time and you’re combining that with 18 hours a day of not eating anything you’re not hungry and you’re only buying a quarter of the food if you were eating excessively before suspending more for the food isn’t really that bad I can spend 2 to 3 times as much for for food but it last me 3 to 4 times longer. Beef is high right now anyway and I was able to buy Wagyu ground beef and it wasn’t the highest quality but it was twice as good as any other ground beef you can get and I only bought a pound of it for eight dollars but it was almost 4 dollars for the cheap meat at Walmart that week come in ground chuck taste a lot better and is about $.50 a pound more so it was extravagant I guess but 1 pound lasted four days and I still had a little leftover that I threw in with eggs and it’s worth it for the variety the flavor was amazing compared to regular ground beef or even the Chuck. You might do a video showing with somebody would spend before Keto, processed foods are very expensive even though they seem cheap but when you buy the good meat that’s not processed and cook it yourself instead of buying a package deal that’s four dollars by eight dollars worth of meat in proportion it correctly instead of one meal you’re making for in your mind is telling you you’re paying twice as much but in reality you’re paying half as much. I’m finding that things like making hamburgers without the buns means I use probably 70% less mayonnaise and catch up and even though I’m paying four dollars for a little bottle of catch-up now it goes a long way and over a year and probably only spending an extra four or five dollars and I have to order my mayonnaise online because nobody around here has it without canola oil‘s or soy bean oil‘s so my mayonnaise is seven dollars. But again I’m using 60 or 70% less of it so it’s not as bad as it feels when you’re buying it. You should do an average weeks worth of groceries for someone who’s not doing it and then replace that same meal plan with a keto version and compare it when you’re paying for the good foods and the sheer volume that you’re getting rid of it saving you a ton of money so there’s room to pay for better ingredients. Like on eggs you can buy 18 for $1.77 or you can buy 18 for five bucks and either get the very low in farm factory eggs or a free range Cageless organic egg and yeah you’re paying more than twice as much for it but you’re still only talking a few dollars a month so you’re looking at $60 a year, that’s not a huge deal when the good eggs are going to give you probably four or five times of what your body needs, And those are the places you want to spend the extra money. I’m still not going to go out and pay $45 a pound for a steak but when I’m eating 6 ounces of steak instead of a 16 ounce steak I can pay twice as much per pound and get really good quality and be more satisfied with the smaller steak than I would be with a mediocre steak that was twice the size. They have T-bones on sale at my local store which is cool because the butcher shop part of the store uses all local farm to me and everybody out here grass feeds and there are times when I can get great meat for cheaper than Walmart prices but it varies some of it to lean and I don’t bother and will just go for a hamburger instead which is saving quite a bit of money so when the good steak does come along I can spend more on that or go buy a higher price cut of meat from someplace that has it regularly and I’m paying two or three times or maybe even four times as much for the food I buy but I’m also eating a quarter of what I eat before so it really balances out pretty well, I’m not gonna say I’m not spending more but I’m really only spending maybe $20 a month more than I was before. If you did a video that compared that and showed that now you’re eating less and consuming less the higher priced ingredients really don’t hit the bottom line that much and when you’re doing a clean keto you’re just eating a lot of eggs are almost no way to do it without eating a lot of eggs and eggs are cheap it’s a lot cheaper than processed meats and the crappy were eating before so that leaves you a lot of the old budget to put towards the better meats and buy the avocado oil instead of the canola oil and putters really not much more expensive than margarine because it’s so cheap anyway you might spend another 20 or $30 for a whole year switching from garbage cheapest margarine to the best butter so you don’t have to freak out just because it’s twice as much, over a year it’s really not that big of a deal and I think if you showed people that they actually comparing what they would spend off of keto compared to a good keto cost and even a very clean keto with the more expensive stuff cost, it’s not nearly the financial impact that people think it’s going to be when they start. I almost quit because I’m thinking I can’t afford an extra two or $300 a month but now that I’m doing it it’s really not that much more because I’m just not using as much of the stuff I used to pay for before and it balances out and the reason the keto is working for me as I’m not hungry I can fast 18 hours pretty easily unless I’m doing something very physical and if I know I’m doing something physical for that day I’ll just add breakfast and only fast for 14 hours but if I’m sitting in front of a monitor all day I don’t even miss breakfast I’m not hungry at all, And not needing to constantly feed the hunger yes an incredible way to save money and put it towards good products and if your barbecue guy that’s amazing because the difference between a Walmart Brisket and a good quality brisket is $65 versus $150, that seems huge but when that’s going to give you 20 or 30 meals it’s really not that much and the flavor difference is amazing

Great Info - am doing this diet! Also thinking that the Mediterranean diet would also include Turkey, North Africa, Israel, etc. Thinking of Baba ghanoush and other veggie hummus would be good, as would some Moroccan spices added to lean meats and fish. We tend to think of Italy and Greece when we think of the Med., but it's a lot bigger than that, encompassing some beautiful and interesting flavors. Lots of lamb too!
