Steph, you are probably my biggest inspiration! I wanted to sign in on the Ironman in Thun (Switzerland) on August 25th 2025 because your story helped me a lot with my confidence. Unfortunately 2 weeks ago I was hit by a car on a bikeride and although I was very lucky and not severly injured, I have to deal with a huge setback due to the concussion and the bruising of my spine… not too sure if i can make it now (cycling of course scares me a lot now), but your videos and your story with being afraid of cycling outside really helps me a lot. I wish you the best of luck on your future races, your Swiss-Community is rooting for you!!!❤

Cycling shoes are similar to running shoes in the sense that you have to buy them a size or sizes up from what you wear in normal shoes! Also I see you have Fizik shoes, they are known for the fact that they are quite narrow, so if you don’t have narrow feet another brand might suit you better! Good luck with finding new shoes and good luck with your IronMan!!!!

Try Lake wide fit shoes…I’ve never had blisters cycling and I’ve done some big mountains in the Alps. I don’t have wide feet but they give you more room in the heat for them to swell etc - game changer when I got mine
