Can you make a video about how to upload your song on Distrokid as a songwriter but not as a singer? The artist's section is confusing to me. Is the songwriter the artist or is the singer is the artist? I am a new songwriter and I have a singer who i paid for her to sing my song. How do i submit my work to Distrokid so that we both, singer and songwriter gets our credits.

Hello music tube after paying my subscribtion l am receiving an error message saying "We had trouble sending a verification text message to your mobile phone please check that you entered your mobile phone and country code correctly" I have corrected it keeps on bringing up the same message.

what it mean by upload ultimate songs? If i have 10 songs and it is not album 10 songs are different. Do i have to pay for each song when i upload them? Within one year in each uploading time do i have to pay 19$ for each?

Thanks for commenting! With Distrokid you pay your annual fee and then you can released as many songs as you want. You do not need to pay extra per release. This is different than say CD Baby where you DO need to pay $9.99 per release. Distrokid is unlimited. You pay your one time subscription fee and then upload as many as you want throughout the year!

successfully uploaded but maybe it will take more days to display on Spotify. Only think i am concern here is I have a channel in my name and the song i have uploaded is sang by my sibling and i choose her name as an artist. When i linked my utube link then i won’t worked so i selected no, now is destrokid will upload song on youtube music also? will this create any issue as my song in already on youtube with different name and we all siblings use to sing not only one singer. I saw that about 3 days on KZbin Music this song will be uploaded snd i didn’t get this clearly what it mean by KZbin Music

I don't have a contract but I have a receipt that prove I hire her her to sing the song. Plus multiple text between us both.

@@ShaunaMY1 that’s a good start! I would definitely screen shot those texts and save them. Then confirm with her that she is just receiving the one time payment and doesn’t get a percentage of streaming royalties. If possible, use email rather than text going forward since an email can be better defended as a binding agreement. (I’m not a lawyer, this is just my experience so make sure you consult with legal counsel if needed) once you start making bank on the song, you have a clear agreement. Also, to answer your original question, I would release it with you as the artist if you plan to continue using a variety of vocalists.

@FatherDeep_TV Just to help you now. Whichever party isn't currently using Distrokid should create a free "splitter" account and then you can release the track on Distrokid. If you distribute through Ditto you will need to pay out the parties manually off platform.
