She had every right to feel the way she did, she doesn’t have to change the way she thinks and I know cause I’ve been in the same situation, it is hurtful and suffocating. BUT, nothing excuses the cheating and the hurt she caused him. It wasn’t as if he was chaining her down, they don’t have kids together, unless there were financial issues keeping her from moving out (which I assume wasn’t the case bc it wasn’t brought up), she had literally no reason NOT to leave him! So many people are coming for her but she’s not a bad person obviously she has been putting up with things in a five-year relationship like so many people do, they go along just to get a long and at the end of the road they become very resentful. He will find somebody more traditional and more like-minded and she will find somebody not as traditional and like-minded! At the end of the day they will both be happy! We can make people be who we want them to be, you have to except people for who they are and if you don’t it will cause a lot of problems throughout the relationship and ultimately end The relationship.

I'm 48 and got married to my high school sweetheart at 18. I LOVED being married and having a little family. But one day she just left. She was cheating on me and we split up. We had two kids together, a son and a daughter (RIH). But her life went down the drain after she embarrassed me in front of the whole neighborhood! I behaved just like that young man. Begging and crying and pleading in public! She told me in front of EVERYBODY, "STOP ALL THAT CRYING CHRIS! I DON'T WANT YOU!" Her life went down the drain when she left me. TEN kids with various last place losers, drug habit, prostitution, etc. Meanwhile, I met my current wife of 25 years in school in Manhattan back in 95.
