That's true. But then again relationships take a ton of sacrifice. And when you get in a sexual or intimacy slump you need to be willing to work that out instead of acting on the impulse to find something exciting and new. But that's all anyone's ever done before a 10 year or whatever relationship so they dont know any better. That's why the breakdown of the American family unit is killing this country. I've been with my fiance 9 years. No breaks. Not a day apart. No cheating. But it's not at all easy. You really need to love that person more than yourself and find yourself being less important to you than they are to you, and honestly most american men and women aren't capable of that or looking outside themselves at all.

@@msanja70 You find out just how much common sense you lack once you’re married. The foolish part of becomes strong and then you realize you need more than the Bible. You found yourself on the principles of love Jesus had, and you go to counseling for the rest.

If the husband's friend is so adamantly against his being with this woman, and the husband so strongly defends the friend even sometimes at the expense of the wife's happiness, it makes me wonder if he might be on the DL with the friend.

Weigh the pros and cons people. If the cons outweigh the pros then the relationship is either toxic or borderline toxic. If it doesn’t heal you, promote you, or help you grow it is toxic.

Why do you want to marry him, he not a protector: he let his male friend try to fight you. He not a provider: he can't keep a job. He's not faithful. So what are you holding on to?
