The problem is, not only did neither one of these people want to compromise, but it seemed like it was never even mentioned between them. My girl passing it around like its the 4th of July BBQ. The guy clearly is depressed his only relief is the game he should spend more time with family etc, however, how he feels has built up over years. They should've never gotten married. I knew I wasn't gonna like her from the moment she said she'd given him an ultimatum to marry her or be dumped at 19. The fact that he went through with it was worse. There is no excuse for cheating on either side EVER. If you feel like your relationship is not enough to where you're even considering it, you need to leave or attempt to talk it out and change shit. And she did it twice. Bet if he'd cheated on her because he got no attention, she'd be singing a different tune. I also couldn't stand the fact that _she_ was the one to leave him in the end.

IMO: If you cheat during a marriage or a relationship, then that marriage/relationship is over, there would be no trust left to give the other person and trust is a major factor in those relationships. The fact that she's not sorry, tells me she doesn't love him or care about him in the slightest, and as someone who obsesses over their art in hopes of making it a career, I feel sorry for him, and am glad that I'm single.

Part of the problem is they got together so young. She is 27 and they have been together for 12 years and married for 8. That means she has been with him since she was 15 and married him at 19. Honestly, I would have to just walk away if my wife cheated. Especially if she was so nonchalant about it. It is a sign that she has no respect for him. You should never stay with someone who does not respect you.

Also, if an 18 year old guy had given an 18 year old girl a marriage ultimatum, I wonder if there would have been counsel about not letting a man control you, seeking your education and dreams before being tied down, and certainly posing the question that’s only asked of women, “why was that not a dropkickable moment?”. If the wife cited 4 different instances of him destroying property, maybe judge Lynn would have still moved to the next topic without speaking about the vandalism. If a cheating man issued the ultimatum, “Forgive me for what you made me do or else”, I’m sure Toler would have said nothing about his unmitigated arrogance. I love seeing strong women who value themselves and refuse to settle for no good men. But judge toler’s tacit encouragement of men being simps can really be nauseating at times.
