She is right though. When you are a husband and a father, walking off a job and living an insecure lifestyle is something you have to give up because you need to always be securing for your children. You'd better have a lump in the bank before you're walking off a job.

Everybody hating on this chick. I like her! Her delivery might be harsh but I'm almost sure it's a result of him coming up light. If she's willing to work 3 jobs to do what she has to do, it seems commendable to me. She's not trying to use my tax dollars to feed her children and pay her. rent. But sis needs to stop the verbal abuse, especially if it's in front of the kids
@fidelisbekong9954
@fidelisbekong9954 6 жыл бұрын
But that's the biggest problem right there, "harsh." Sure, the dude needs to keep a job, walking away from a job as a father/husband is a big NO!. But most women fail to realize it's not what you say sometimes, but how you say it. Come correct to a man,and he will listen. Put attitude into it, and all he sees is barking, which triggers his ego as a man, so he will not listen or do anything you tell him to do. But yeah, he is coming up light.

Fidelis Bekong I dont know her personally, but from a woman's perspective, if our delivery is always harsh, it's because we've said it many times (generally). A confident man does not allow these "harsh" deliveries because he does what he needs to do. You can't always be gentle with someone who is not pulling their weight. Sorry, not sorry 🤷🏾‍♀️

luvmifro1003 Thank you somebody finally said it. The first three times we ask them to do something are usually polite. (“Hey babe, would you mind doing A, B, C when you have a sec?) After that is when our delivery gets harsh because we get tired of repeating ourselves to an adult. Had it been done before, no one would have cause to yell. Don’t act like a child and you won’t get treated like one.

Ms Sherry comes off to me as a very hardworking woman. A woman who knows what she wants n she wants more n better for her children. The problem is when such women date down they get misunderstood , society thinks that they are "greedy". That's y I advise young ladies to get a man with whom your vision in life intertwine. Your goal might be to own a house or travel around the world while that might be the last thing on your partner's mind. Good luck Ms Sherry

Im trying to understand what's the problem. People work hard everyday for what they want, maybe her delivery should have been a little different but if she's working, not stealing, not killing for what she wants, what's the problem? She didn't say her bills weren't being paid. She didn't say her kids weren't being provided for. But she's being brow beaten for wanting to have what she wants. She's being bashed more then the husband, the same one who admits to quitting jobs because he doesn't like the disrespect but you have a family at home and responsibilities, gtfoh.

Nick J, I hear you and for the record, I'm not saying that this woman was right in her stance. I don't know if you regularly watch this show, but if you do, there seems to be this mindset in men where they regress while the women progress. Yes, hold the women accountable, but men should be accountable from jump. We men are looked at as the providers. This brother in this episode seems like a horrible provider. How is it responsible for a man to quit a job just because he's mad at someone? A man with a wife and kids can't afford to be so careless. That's all I'm saying.

Women will lose respect for a man that don't handle business.... Women want money and resources, that's how the game go. Men need to have their stuff together before a relationship... We do a choice to pick a low maintenance woman... Buts it rare if we want someone attractive.

I don't, women who judge men by his material status are materialistic. I pay attention to what is doing with what he has and how he works. There are men that start off homeless and will treat a me like a queen and the way I deserve and willing to work and build and end up being a millionaire but there are men who have it all together and women chase the man that has it all together but cheats on her, but he got money. Money means nothing to me I can make my own money. I look at who you are, who you are can be the man that will work to get something better.

twistedblktrekie -- So many fallacies (and some hypocrisy) in your argument. You started your 1st paragraph by saying that black men compare black women to white women, constantly uplift women of other races, and never promote women that look like them. You stated this like it's a negative and grates on your nerves. Well based on your history of posts, you constantly compare black men to other men, you uplift other races of men, and you never promote men that look like you. Don't engage in behavior that you supposedly detest. And when speaking of culture, (even though we're at the bottom of the barrel economically) black culture is the most emulated culture there is. From our music, to our art, to our swag, other races are constantly appropriating aspects of black culture to their own culture. And that point isn't unique to either gender, and they even risk their health to do it. They risk skin cancer to become darker (tanning) and injections to get fuller lips, hips, and butts to copy features that are natural to our ethnicity. Instead of constantly thinking of ways we should emulate them (tho some of your points are valid), acknowledge all the ways they try to be like us. And you keep mentioning sistas outdoing us as far as education. I applaud and am proud of the fact that black women are becoming more educated and I wish we (black men) would close this gap. But education isn't the sole barometer of economic success. Based on simple biology (and maybe work expectations), men of all races can more easily obtain financial success without advanced education moreso than women. My plumber, electrician, and mechanic are all black men who are very successful without college degrees (and they all work for themselves). My landscaper is also black (though he has a 9-5). My brother is a successful farmer with no college degree. But the best example is my job. I work for an oil refinery. It employs roughly 350 hourly (union) people (this is not including contractors). The union workforce is about 98% male, about 33% black. All of us make 6 figures. Though I have a college degree, there are many brothas at the job making serious bank without one. Some black women (about 20) are in administration and clock serious dollars, but they needed a degree. Jobs like welding, working on barges, chemical company work, heavy machinery work, etc all pay extremely well (earning more than nurses, which I always see you allude to), are male dominated, and don't require a degree. So you're correct when you say black women are getting "more educated" than black men. But black men still significantly earn more than black women. I don't say that with delight. It's just a fact. Finally, I like divorce court because it's entertaining. But it's also designed for ratings, and it appears the formula for maximum viewership is to portray black men in the worst possible light. The unemployment rate for black men is about 7.5%. On D.C., it's about 40%. I only know one person trying to be a rapper (and only knew about 2 when I was in college). On D.C., you might have 1 per week. Saying divorce court represents most black men is akin to saying Maury or Paternity Court represents most black women. If you don't believe one, you shouldn't believe the other.

Yes, her daughter graduated college. But they've only been together for 11 years and have 4 children together. That is at least 4 more kids that are going to need to go. I don't know who all went on this cruise and what they expected but my mom and step dad took a cruise to the Bahamas from Florida for their Honeymoon. The cruise itself was only $1500 for 5 days with 2 people. But no, I don't know who all went. Regardless, $6,000 is a lot of money to waist on a trip when one of you allegedly can't keep a job and the other one is talking about working 60,70 and 80 hours a week. Especially when you say it's a gift for somebody else. Listen, y'all wouldn't want me to be a parent because I'm not spending $500 on a grown ass MF that I just finished putting through college. And if they're up here arguing about it now, they couldn't afford it then. It shouldn't have happened.

verbal abuse is true but controlling i disagree with. when he stops walking around being a financial burden and having his wife go tooth and nail to provide for the entire family then he can get some mercy. she's independent and works hard to get what she wants and he's a dependent who relies on her to make up for his short comings. i don't blame her for being tough on him. if you wanna be seen as a man, get off your ass and prove yourself.

Pat P there is no however. When you are overwhelmed you don't think let me take the time out to see why he's ditching all responsibly. You see yourself having to pick up that slack. And what does that do. Add to the overwhelm. Counseling doesn't always help. And people don't always change after counseling or even plan advice.
