I was a side chick to a guy who basically was telling me for months he'll break up with his girlfriend. I left and he came back saying they'd broken up, we ended up getting together but I couldn't ever really trust him because of all the lies he'd told and I couldn't shake the feeling he would do the same to me. This comment really hit home.There were red flags so a year into the relationship I ended things. I'm just glad I got out when I did. Don't feel ashamed if you were ever once a side chick. We're human and we all make mistakes and more than likely you were being manipulated by somebody you cared about. Not that I don't know there are some women out there who take pride in being sidechicks but that's usually far from the case. Own it and the decisions that led you there so you don't repeat it.
