This "episode" was so fun! e.l.f. Midnight Pearls was a staple in so many peoples collections like 5-6 years ago. I'm sorry to say I laughed a little bit at the application part where you said it was a bit intense. At the time, I remember it was commonly criticized for being a little subtle. But that was the 2016 highlighter craze for you.

I’ve heard a ton of ppl complain about those cream eyeshadows. Bc they were drying or difficult to work with? But the techniques you use and brushes that you use really show your skill, artistry, patience, and creativity. This was a joy to watch! ☺️💕💕

I freaking *LOVE* the Elf baked highlighter. I bought it last week at CVS, and I’ve used the hell out of it since I got it. I use it every way I can lol. I use it as a highlighter, and I use it as an eyeshadow on days I don’t wear much makeup. I use it as a shimmer eyeshadow topper. It looks so good when you get the brush wet and use it as a shimmer shadow. It’s so awesome on my “mature” eyelids. I have a lot of shimmer shadows that enhance my eyelid texture, but the Elf highlighter is so smooth, and wet looking on my eyelids! It’s so great as a highlighter on my textured cheeks. It doesn’t emphasize my texture at all

I absolutely love ELF!!! That eye look is incredible, Julia! Wow! You always manage to out-do yourself! Every time I see you do a new eye look, I think, THIS is my all-time fave of yours! lol I love their lip stains as well! ( ...and the lip liners also). There isn't much I don't like from the brand.

The elf baked highlighter in that same shade was the first highlighter that I loved! I had it for years. It has such a natural glow and it was the same color as the "dew" on my face. Too bad I cant ever find it anymore.

Could you let us in know in your roundup if the cream shadow/liner dries up quickly? I bought a lavender pot liner from colourpop and it was unusable in a couple weeks lol! Also don’t be afraid of the dark blush colors! I’m much paler than you and wear the one called maldives. It looks more natural than lighter pinks and corals imo because it’s closer to the color of blood that would be flushing my cheeks. Bc of that I have to be careful tho bc the color also looks extremely similar to the redness I get when my skin is irritated. Sorry to mention blood lol but definitely try it! :)

Hi Julia! I love when you use elf products, they’re one of my favorite brands, so reasonably priced and cruelty free, and now I clearly have to purchase that lavender/lilac cream shadow. It’s beautiful. And I agree, I have a couple of pastel shadows that don’t really go on very smoothly. Of course I will use it by itself for a one and done look because I do not have your magic. You need to take a clean eyebrow spoolie, and lightly scrape off the top layer of the Moonlight Pearls highlighter. You will find it much creamier and not so crazy intense;)💜

I prefer using that baked highlighter with a fluffy brush, otherwise it can look a bit intense! When its applied sheerly it just looks like glowy skin.
