Love this whole look!! That ilia foundation and concealer are my fav but i definitely agree that the liquid highlight is texture enhancing. I can never seem to get it to look right. Some other great products from them are the soft focus finishing powder and color haze blushes!

Did you find that the highlight disturbed the base makeup a little? When she did the close up the first thing I noticed was how crazy it made her texture look cuz she doesnt even really have any!!!!! But then I also noticed it looked like I could see her skin through it in patches, like it mixed with the base and created some weird lumpy mixture. Not a fan of that highlight, but will be trying the foundation and concealer!!! Those look beautiful on her and other people in the comments are saying that they love it too, soo.......😄😄😄😘😘😍😍

Yes exactly! It basically just picks up on any foundation and therefore looks textured and patchy. I already have textured cheeks so it was like a double whammy 😂

Yes! More clean beauty, please!? I use Farmacys Green Screen and it’s my absolute fav, use every day and don’t need to set it with powder like I do other sunscreens if that’s all I’m wearing that day. Highly recommend checking out their other skin care. All things I’ve tried I’ve loved. But I do sort of dilute it, apply a tiny amount to dampened skin after washing. Think if you’re dry it’s not necessary, but I’m oily. I’ve been curious about a lot of other products that are labeled Clean, but they are so expensive and look so basic I’ve not tried them.

I know you will absolutely love the rms beauty cream highlight. It gives a glass look to the skin and doesn’t enhance texture. I got mine in the shade living and even tho it looks like it would be too light I used it on my friend who is a nice caramel shade it looked beautiful on her too. Edit: Also the Kosäs lip balm. I’d normally refuse to pay $18 for a lip balm but it’s quickly became my holy grail.

Hi Julia! Love your channel. If you want a way to use up the Ilia liquid highlight you can mix in a drop or two to moisturizer or foundation to give a bit of a glow. It’s pretty for a more no-makeup low-key makeup day on the eyes. It has some good skin ingredients!

I’m so happy you loved the ilia foundation and concealer. The foundation is my second favorite my favorite of all time is Lawless Woke Up like this foundation. It’s sooooooo amazing. I personally don’t like full coverage but that formula I enjoy it because it gives my skin a dewy complexion and it smells like bergamot which I personally don’t mind.

You should try the Kosas Creme blush duo in the peach shade. I think it’s called Velvet Melon or something. It’s luminous and STUNNING! Also their 10 second shadows are so beautiful. I love Globe (the champagne one) over MAC Paint Pot in Groundwork.

Yay! I’m so glad you did a video with the Ilia base. It’s my absolute favorite. I too think the highlighter serum sucks BUT I have a humble suggestion. I started mixing it with the Ilia foundation and it is actually really beautiful mixed. Just an idea so that the product isnt a total waste. I think you would really live the Chantecaille Future Skin foundation. It is one of those oil free gel formulations with a light to light/medium coverage that looks EXACTLY like skin!! Yes, Chantecaille is luxury and pricey, but the profits for each of their products go towards different charities and causes!!!!

I’ve been wanting to switch to clean beauty for a while but It’s pricey. Look up organic bunny’s store. She has true clean beauty. Everything is clean ingredients and organic unlike most “clean beauty”

I love the look, but "clean beauty" is really just a marketing term. As you alluded to, every retailer has its own definition; there is no standard criteria. A lot of "clean" products use essential oils, which can be quite irritating on many people's skin. Additionally, labeling some products as "clean" implies that others are dirty. Finally, the term has no scientific basis and is essentially a form of fearmongering.

The Ilia foundation is really so unique and gorgeous but infuriating for me to work with. It moves so easily I have to set the whole face before I can work at all. I find myself terrified that it’s going to streak so badly throughout the day with any touch.

I love RMS. Th foundation gives me life. Also Tower28 cream blushes are a daily go to. The Ilia highlighter is horrible, it did the same thing to me that you experienced with texture. I use the RMS living luminiferous and it’s ok.
