i agree....im just very poor lol....i went shopping to buy presents for all my family and people who have supported me the last cpl years bc its been a very hard few years for me and this is actually the first xmas i can even buy others gifts. so as much as i would love to buy myself makeup....all the makeup i bought that day was for my mom and mother in law. luckily my mom will gladly share her makeup but shes the one who picked everything out. im lucky that they have bought me so much makeup and are supportive about me starting a channel so it means more to me to buy stuff for them rather than myself....i def would have grabbed her pallet tho if i could have!

its def affordable in luxury standards but ur absolutely right. honestly the only time i can really buy the "sephora" type makeup for myself....i get at marshalls. so i typically cant try new products because it takes so loong to get to marshalls lol. the only time i get stuff right away is when im lucky enough to receive it as a gift! my bf just bought me the james charles palette so i was soo excited. and thats honestly a wicked great deal bc its 39 shades! but other than that i do mostly drugstore as well. thankfully there are soooo many great drugstore products tho!! sometimes i like the drugstore even better!!
