My Scorecard Trout - 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12 Alvarez - 2, 7 (10-8), 11 Even - 9 After watching this fight again, I'm surprised at home many rds Trout easily won. Alvarez did little to nothing in most of those rds other than land 1 or 2 big shots. Trout boxed masterfully, backed up Canelo continuously, tired him out and made him swing and miss wildly. The announcers were terribly biased for Canelo. You knew there was no way Trout would get a decision in Texas though. Notice that they didn't show the compubox numbers.

@@SunsTo7 History will be kind to Canelo on that issue because all the evidence pointed to contamination and he was vindicated with the negative follicle test. The whole thing would have never even been a violation today with WADA saying their previous policy was unfair. Meanwhile it's especially hypocritical for people to condemn him in the boxing world when he's one of the few fighters who've been consistently testing for years. At the time most fighters weren't testing period with no way of knowing what substances are in their bodies, and some were even flat out refusing to be tested. Even now there are still many not submitting. So it's ridiculous to try to condemn a fighter who has been tested for years despite all the evidence pointing to his innocence.

Haters always find a way to bring up Canelo’s loss against Bivol, despite the fact that Canelo (although undisputed champ at 168) is a NATURAL 160lb fighter who was essentially fighting an elite fighter (Bivol) who was NATURALLY 15lbs BIGGER, and Canelo still didn’t get knocked down or knocked out (but valiantly “held his own” against the much bigger fellow elite fighter).

My Scorecard Trout - 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12 Alvarez - 2, 7 (10-8), 11 Even - 9 After watching this fight again, I'm surprised at how many rds Trout easily won.
