It's always been irritating to me how hard people clowned on Zurdo for this performance. Yeah he got much the same schooling everyone else does, but at least he was the first guy ever to try to reply during his combinations and attempt to actually win an exchange - he even won one. Also, when is the last time you saw Bivol duck under a punch, apart from once in this fight? Never that's when, because that's like layer 17 of his defence. Zurdo tried his ass off, but he found the same problem everyone else does. The more ambitious you are, and the harder you try against Bivol, the worse you get lit up- so everybody drops their volume and secretly surrenders at some point. Beterbiev is a whole different beast though...I don't know who wins that one.

Bivol is exceptional. If only it were possible for him to increase his muscle mass, and therefore the power of his shots, without losing too much in agility and speed... It is not possible that he should get to the last round against dominated opponents risking defeat for a random shot which by chance he was unable to avoid.
