taking clear, & close but clear decisions fights from Phil Davis, really is something... not just because of Phil's ability, but the fact that he's inclined to go the distance, rather than take risks for the win

I'd prefer to have no information, and enjoy it as if it's live. I think they should add extra highlight footage at the end of short fights, to disguise the fact that the fight ended early (when you see the video is 5 minutes long). Just put a bunch of extra video at the end, so they're all about the same length. That way, we can enjoy the surprise feeling when someone gets KO'd in the first round.

Why, so Romero can gas in the 3rd and get knocked out? It's not like Romero is gonna mix in wrestling to open up the striking. Nemkov isn't gonna lose in a striking battle 99% of the time. It's gonna take someone that he doesn't want to be on the ground with or someone will manage to catch him.

Always frustrating watching Phil Davis. He has height, reach, power, and even a granite chin. All the ingredients to be a danger on the feet but he rarely is. He needs to be introduced to a new striking coach.
@Demonrifts Жыл бұрын
Yeah, its crazy to see him get worked by Nemkov's jab for five rounds. Every time Nemkov threw it, Phil would back up in a straight line and Nemkov would chase. There were a few times where Phil would bring his head off the center line and land a nice counter, like he did in the 4th when he landed the left hook that got Nemkov's attention, but his biggest issue was that he was always letting Nemkov fire first, but just retreated instead of looking to punish. Just really doesn't seem like Phil had much drive to win.

@@illmore88 a *42 year olds "prime"? Ok, that definitely speaks to the difference in level of his competition from the likes of famed guys like: Rampage, Rumble, etc. compared to Anthony Smith & co. of his "prime". & you also have to make the specific case how it pertains to Phil, supposedly now being on the opposite end of his domination of Glover. Mind you we're talking about Phil Davis - the perennial fighter with the least mileage in mma history. Just admit it - you didn't even know about these fights. And also, we been only talking the champ and #1 contender(!) & you have yet to mention, much less make a case for how #: 3, 4 and 5 assuredly beat Davis & Nemkov. Gonna do that? That was your initial contention after all
