Nice trip report, but I’m 99% sure there’s a missing chunk on one of the flaps. It’s near the bottom of the frame inboard of the inner flap canoe.

Nice you had a good flight, the last time I flew into ORD was in May of 1989 and it was aweful after getting into the terminal.

I live in between Lansing and Grand Rapids airport, but we usually use Lansing because the flights out of lansing on ameriacn are so much cheaper than grand rapids

I would fly USAir when I was in the Navy. I would fly ORF-BUF. The return flights would connect in PIT. USAir had the best Military discount.

I know! They've been a staple of the airport for so long, but unfortunately the airport isn't a hub anymore and they don't feel that they need the trams now. Enjoy them while you can! And thanks a lot!

Here is something cool. If you have a portable AM FM Walkman with you, you can receive FM signals from cruising altitude. I did a flight from Philadelphia to O'Hare and from over Cleveland I was receiving Cleveland and Columbus FM stations and CBC Radio 1 from London Ontario.

I'm looking forward to the new landslide terminal! It will be nice to not hear the annoying voice of the underground transit anymore. The airport is in dire need of a complete remodel. It will be interesting to see how the existing airside terminal will look when complete

Yo so there is gonna be a seasonal charter flight from Pittsburgh to Shanghai on China Eastern (B777) and i think I will be working it cause i think DGS got the contract. Trig Dugan got the Alaska airline contract but if u wanna get it in a vid i believe it the flights leaves PIT August 3rd and returns the 12th. However i forget if its August or September. Also gonna take time to promote the RMU hockey team come show ur support.

Every time I've flown from Pittsburgh to ORD (or vice verse) on AA, it's been on a boring regional jet. At least one AA flight to ORD per day is on a Boeing 737.

Leaving Chicago on a Saturday or Sunday, stay at the Hilton literally right at the airport...much quieter than you would think

Man, H gates the last time I flew American into O'Hare roughly 31 years ago we used 16B and then C12 which changed to C2 due to first plane was unusable.

about the missing chunk of flap..notice its perfectly rounded, a mfg's design . The captain upon visual inspection would never take off if part of the flap was missing!
