It's not until you break cloud cover and do a bit of surfing, that you realise just how fast these aircraft are travelling! Good one my friend, regards from the UK :-)

Indeed. People tend to forget how fast you’re moving. You’re still going around 150mph when you touch down. As always, thanks for watching! I hope you had a great Christmas!

This aircraft use to be a Desert Livery back in the 1980s, 1990s, or 2000s. Hopefully they don’t retire anytime soon. N749SW is a nice Canyon Livery Aircraft. I wish I was on it sometime in the future.

Looked like he was going to go all Dukes of Hazzard when exiting the runway. "I see our gate! Quick....hard right!"

Traveling from Tulsa, OK to Dallas, Texas in 1 hour and 3 minutes? I don't think so, it more likely 40 minutes.
@sla31
@sla31 3 жыл бұрын
That’s true, the actual “in air” time is closer to 40 minutes. The time I list in my video descriptions is the total time on the aircraft from the main boarding door being closed, until it’s open again.

By this point in your travels,you must be spending a small fortune in gas and parking 'commuting' between Joplin and Tulsa because of your refusal to fly a CRJ-700--Upon touchdown at DAL,that pilot was serious about getting off the runway! No doubt the brakes were red-hot at gate arrival--wish you could've continued on to MDW--in any case,if one is flying from TUL to MDW, you have to fly south in order to fly north!
@sla31

It’s not just an outright refusal to fly CRJ’s. I will if I have too, but the problem in JLN at the moment is the ridiculously poor state that the CRJ’s they are flying there are in. SkyWest is currently flying to JLN with CRJ-700’s they got from ExpressJet. They’re old, in disrepair, and the inner plastic windows have glazed over due to years of being baked in the sun. You ever get an old Tupperware that has “filmed” up? That’s what the windows are like on these CRJ’s. It makes it impossible to film. Which means it’s pointless for me to take them.

How do you hold your phone when filming? I just hold it with my hands because if I stick anything directly to the window, the vibrations often ruin the footage. However I only record the takeoffs and landings, while you record the wings for over 2 hours...Do you still hold it with your hands, or do you use a mount once the aircraft reaches the cruising altitude?
@sla31
@sla31 3 жыл бұрын
I hold the camera by hand, even on the long portions. Like you, I have never been able to find a mount that eliminates the vibrations, and doesn't transfer them into the camera lens. So, unfortunately, I don't have any other advice for you than what you already do.

Ah I see, well, great job on holding it steady for that long...! Hope you had a merry Christmas as well!

Looks like you are spending millions of bucks filming all these flight without making profits. Sounds like you going to be homeless someday

Thankfully I have a job that prevents me from being homeless. KZbin isn’t what pays the bills.
