Perhaps only the results of the recorded audio, but those engines sound very quiet. Mixed feelings... I appreciate the advancements in engine technology and efficiency, but I love the sound of a roaring engine.

I'm glad you enjoy them my friend. I appreciate you watching. To get enough content to upload as often as I do, I have to fly around 100 segments per year. This year, assuming my trip next week goes to plan, I will have exactly 100 segments in 2020.

This video was phenomenal. I am glad you took the time to share. I do happen to have a couple questions. First, do you prefer Southwest's Heart interior over its Evolve interior? Second, what is your opinion on the Boeing 737 MAX?
@sla314 жыл бұрын
Thanks my friend. I actually prefer the new heart interior on Southwest. I’ve flown it many times now, including a six hour flight from Honolulu to Oakland. I think it’s pretty comfortable, and I think the legroom is better than most other US options.
@sla314 жыл бұрын
As for the Max. I think it had some serious problems that were overlooked, I think they have been fixed, and I think it is probably the most scrutinized plane of all time now. I will gladly get back on one. I would fly on one tomorrow. In fact, I will be flying on one very soon. I am booked on Americans 737 Max, return to service flight, on December 29th from Miami to New York.
@crazycoollady4 жыл бұрын
@@sla31 Thanks for answering and admiring. I strongly prefer Southwest's Heart interior due to more abundant legroom and more comfortable seats. I remember flying from OAK to EWR on Southwest Airlines with its Evolve interior in 2018, and my back was sore once the flight was finished. However, when I flew from OAK to MCO on Southwest Airlines with its Heart interior, my back felt so comfortable that I had no desire to get out of my seat. As far as the 737 MAX is concerned, my only issue with it is that I heard its grounding at OAK was one of the reasons OAK lost many airlines and routes.

I haven’t flown on a MAX in real life as a passenger. I think it’s a gorgeous plane, looks beautiful, I love the split wing fins and I fly that plane on my SIM almost everyday. It’s so awesome to fly on X-Plane 11. Smooth as silk!

@sla314 жыл бұрын
Well, the flight did have more people on it eventually. I have status with Southwest, which means I’m typically one of the first 15 people on the plane. I try to get cabin shots before too many people are on board, as you’re technically not supposed to show peoples faces on KZbin without their consent. So, the flight was not as empty as it appears.

Have the new Covid testing requirements changed any of your travel plans? ❤🛩❤🛩🌐🛩🌐🛩❤🛩❤
@sla314 жыл бұрын
No. In fact, I am starting to fly even more places now than I did when restrictions seemed to be more relaxed. Most places have an “in transit” exception to the mandatory testing and quarantine rules. Since I am usually flying with the sole purpose of getting footage for this channel, I’m never in one place for more than 12 hours. So, most places don’t require you to comply with the restrictions if you are going to be “ in transit or passing through”. These rules typically include airline connections, and in most places that I’ve looked into, it covers you for up to 24 hours. Each individual state is different though. For example, Hawaii does not have this exception that I’m aware of.

I saw that Delta B717 pull up and I cringed. I don’t know what about the B717 I hate but I just feel like it is an MD-80 imposter
@sla314 жыл бұрын
Well, if you want to get technical, it actually is a McDonnell Douglas aircraft. The 717, was designed, developed, and marketed by McDonnell Douglas as the McDonnell Douglas MD-95. In fact, it was already in early stage production when Boeing merged with McDonnell Douglas. The only reason it’s called the Boeing 717 is because Boeing took over right when deliveries started happening. It’s very similar to what has happened recently with the Bombardier CSeries, now A220. So, if you really think about it, it isn’t an imposter. It was the last McDonnell Douglas designed aircraft. It is the last true descendent of the DC-9 and MD-80. It just bears a different name. It may be called a Boeing 717, but McDonnell Douglas blood runs through it’s veins.
