Me too. I also like the new livery as well. It would be pretty cool to see a Boeing 737 Max-8 old livery as a Retro plane. That would be nice.

Hey Traveler, is it me or did it seem he was coming in HOT to DAL? The whole landing prep and final turn and the way he swung those flaps, he was coming in with a purpose. We've seen this kind of flight determination before, into LGA.

Great video bro! Just curious, but do you ever encounter flight attendants that don’t like it when you record these flights with your phone on Southwest? I had that happen to me with my camcorder last time I flew Southwest. 👍✈️
@sla312 жыл бұрын
Well, there's several layers to this. Southwest is one of the airlines that are really picky about mounts. They do not like mounts being stuck to the windows. Now, I hold the camera by hand, so this isn't an issue for me. But when I took their re-inaugural 737 Max flight, there were a lot of other aviation enthusiasts and KZbinrs on that flight. I heard the FA's tell several people to remove the mounts and that it wasn't allowed. They seem to be the pickiest about that. But, if you were using a camcorder, you probably weren't using a mount. As far as filming in general? No, I've never had any issues with Southwest FA's telling me not to film. In fact, I've actually worked directly with Southwest's social media & and public relations departments before on specific flights. Like, they've specifically reached out to me, asking me to be on certain flights to help promote them. They don't pay me for it, so that's why you don't see any "paid promotion" branded content, but they've still specifically asked m e to record certain flights. The only other thing I can think of, depends on how big the camcorder was... A long time ago. Like, really before I even started my channel, I was told I couldn't use a specific camera. And this was back when I traveled with a full DSLR camera. It was much bigger than the iPhones I film with now. There is a FAA rule that prohibits any electronics from being used during taxi, takeoff, and landing, that weigh more than 2 lbs. If the flight attendant thought the camera was too heavy of the FAA rules, that could've been the issue. Some airlines also have rules that prohibit professional recording devices on their planes. If the flight attendant thought it was a professional camera, that could've contributed too. Although, that rule is more for like "professional" cameras that new teams or cinematic productions use. Anyways, I once tried to record some stuff on American using my DSLR during taxi and takeoff and was told I couldn't because the camera was too big. And to be fair, it was more than 2 lbs. I know this is a lot, but I'm just brainstorming as I type. A lot of crews don't like being filmed. If you filmed any of the boarding or cabin and weren't "discrete" enough, or blatantly filmed some of the crew, that could've made them mad too. Otherwise, the basic answer to your question is no. I haven't ever had a Southwest crew tell me not to film. But, I take a lot of steps to have as little impact on the flight as possible. I don't film crew, I try to film other people as little as possible, I use the smallest possible camera that still has great quality, I hold the camera by hand to avoid the "you can't attach things to the plane" rule, etc. I don't know if that helps at all, but that's what I've got.

@@sla31 That’s a big help, actually. I use a Sony HDR-CX330 camera. I guess it would fall into the 2 LB zone. I guess on my future Delta trip I’ll use my IPhone. 👍
@sla312 жыл бұрын
@@BFFAvgeek15 to be fair again, my iPhones film better quality than any of my other DSLR or handheld cams ever did anyways. I have a Panasonic HC-VXF991K that I have used for the channel in the past, but even it doesn’t beat the iPhone. What you really lose by using something like an iPhone, is the zoom ability. Now, I only use/used the Panasonic for spotting, which I really don’t do much of anymore anyways. 🤷🏻♂️ For flights I have a 1TB iPhone 13 Pro and two 512GB iPhone 12 Pros. Both the 12 and 13 are great at 4K 60fps. The 11 Pro is really only good up to 4K 30fps. In case that helps.
@BFFAvgeek152 жыл бұрын
@@sla31 That helps too. I have a 128GB IPhone 12. And yes, the iPhone beats camcorders in a few ways. I like the sound quality iPhones bring too, especially when you hear the roar of jet engines. 😁👍

It is an unfortunate part of flying. And I get people's frustration when watching my videos. See, I have noise cancelling headphones to use when I fly, so I barely notice when I'm filming. I have been attempting to try to edit stuff like this out, but that's extremely time consuming and tedious. So, until I get better at it, or find a better way to do it, it is what it is. @@jaypek43-Phil as a parent of a 2-year-old myself, who did the same thing on a flight recently, I 100% agree and understand. Personally, it doesn’t bother me when children are fussy or crying on the airplane. It’s a fact of life, and we were all babies once. That said, a lot of people who watch my videos do so to help them concentrate, work, or even relax. So, I can’t understand where people are coming from, when they tell me it makes the video unwatchable. If you’re specifically watching the video to use it as white noise while you work or study. I understand not everyone knows the FAA airport codes. However, KZbin limits the number of characters in a title to 100. That's not much space to work with. If I typed out Tulsa International Airport to Dallas Love Field, or even Tulsa Oklahoma to Dallas Texas, that's 1/2 to 2/3 of my title space gone. Since the FAA airport codes are widely accepted abbreviations, they're the easiest piece of information to abbreviate, that a lot of people will already be familiar with. Again though, I know not everyone knows them. That's why I spell everything out, in detail, in the video's description. This incudes every city/airpot with the corresponding codes right next to them. This makes it as easy as possible for people to see the code, reference the description, and easily be able to know what TUL or DAL is. I mean, the alternative is "Full Flight - SWA - B738 - Tulsa International Airport to Dallas Love Field - N8673E - WN1257 - IFS ep 444." Which is actually more than 100 characters. So, if I spell out the cities/airports, I have to abbreviate every other piece of information, and it's still too long. Anyways, this is why I list the airports by their codes. If anyone is unsure of what a code is, that full information is listed in the destruction, which prevents them from having to Google it. Thanks for watching my friend.
