Each week, more and more people begin to fly. Hard for airlines to adjust their schedules so quickly to deal with the increased demand. Resulting in fuller flights and upset passengers who cannot social distance. Flew to LA from Texas this week, one flight was even overbooked and the other one was nearly full. It still feels a bit too soon to have completely full flights in my opinion, but then again we all chose to fly. It will be interesting to see how things go about in the next few weeks. Thanks for keeping us updated.

Everyone is trying to survive and make money. Except for Amazon and Wallmart I guess... But these people are worse hit than restaurants. The only reason why they are still breathing is cuz the US government put them on ventilators. But that bailout is limited and it's a race to see if you can avoid going bankrupt by September as well as "prove" you are worthier than the other airlines so ppl will once again invest in you. I wouldn't count on them to hold up to the "empty seats between all passengers" rhetoric, so I say, if you're not OK with crowded seats cuz you're "at risk", then don't fly. ;)

Intrinsically the airlines have a conflict with a carefree sanitary experience VS . the necessary business model of a full flight. AIRCRAFT have never been more clean and safe.... customers are respecting social norms - GET OUT THERE and fly the USA ...just be prepared ... flights will be FULL with the new business model ... the days of cheap air travel ARE OVER. you will be paying at least 50% MORE for air travel going forward.. Travel is again a luxury .. that being said .. KASEY represents the VERY BEST at American...

They have complete control over how many people they book on flights. It's a complete violation of all the governor rules in some of these states to sit so close, so just goes to show how arbitrary it all is.

When Sydney was talking about jumper cables, I recommend you invest in what is called a Jump Starter. You charge it up at home in a regular wall outlet and then just put it in your trunk. There are several types so you can google it. One type is just for car use. Another type has USB ports so if you lose power say at home you can keep your devices powered up. The reason I recommend this, especially to women, is that with jumper cables you need someone else to give you a jump. So you never know the type of person who might stop to help. With the jump starter, all you need to do is pop the hood, connect the cables to the terminals and wala, start the car. Soooo much safer!

I've owned both sealed lead acid and lithium types and I found them to be very convenient, but I have to make sure they are charged every now and then. The Scosche models are fairly small and have a storage case as well as USB and charging cables/adapter.

Kacey, Glad to see you are getting trips still. I loved "turns" because when I drove truck after a layoff from my territory management job...I always wanted to get home to the love of my life.. "Lindsey" my beloved little kitty cat. One summer day I got a work call and had a choice of an overnight trip or a turn. The turn would get me back home at 1 am. I took the turn. On my way back from my terminal to go home (a thirty minute drive, I was going to go shopping. A feeling came about me to go straight home...I still wanted to just quickly to the store but then felt a sense of urgency. I pulled up to my garage. It was very very hot and muggy. I approached my front door and felt the heat off of it. As I opened it I felt heat hit me in the face! I panicked and ran up the stairs. My little Lindsey was up against a wall drooling and rapidly panting. My heart sank. I immediately put her in a carrier and sped to the Emergency Vet hospital. To my horror...a big sign said: "We have moved to ..." which was another fifteen minutes drive! I was crying and telling her to hang in there and "Daddy" would get her help soon. This was my little girl! Finally we made it. "Heat exhaustion." The AC had gone out. It had literally gotten up to 115° on the first level of my home. Had I taken an overnight run my little baby would have not survived. I was and always will be grateful that a loving Heavenly Father granted her extra time to be with me. She passed away on June of 2016 in my arms after four days of not being able to eat or drink. It is one of the most beautiful stories in my life because the "happy ending" will be able to see her again and fully resurrected with no illness or pain ever again. It is awesome that you have such great work buddies! No need to respond.. Just felt like sharing that with everyone who loves animals. You have a lot of good followers. TC

I think I mentioned this in another comment but how would you feel about airlines bringing back the classic white gloves (like PanAm style) along with your uniforms? I was sure I was going to get in trouble so I went back out to the loading dock. I then saw a huge rat, must have been the size of a poodle, he ran under a dumpster. All I could think of is I hope the chef does'nt find him. He'll proabaly be all chopped up and served as kobe beef on the buffet table.

Have wanted to ask you for a while about bedbugs and what your airline advises you to do. So you quickly said something about bedbugs while entering Sydney's room. I only travel about 15 times a year for the past 20+ years, and I picked up bedbugs for the first last year. It was awful for my wife and I. So now, I am uber paranoid about hotel rooms, tear down the bed, and search under the frames. Regardless of COVID, I have a mild anxiety about travel and especially hotel rooms because of bedbugs. Can you give your advice on the matter and your precautions? Note: We had a professional heat treatment to get rid of them in our house, yet if anybody gets bedbugs, Cimexa amorphous silica powder really works and is a lot cheaper, like $15.

Hi Kacey, thanks as always for sharing your and Sydney's experiences as flight attendants. I worked at Jeppesen a couple of years ago and have developed a great respect for all of the efforts that each person in the aviation industry puts into their job each day. To continue smiling at the end of such busy days (which can include difficult passengers) is a testament to your cheerful nature and strong values. If you ever feel stressed, check out my Mellow Vista channel that shows relaxing landscape videos, one of which includes a sunset over Molokai from Maui that you didn't get a chance to spend much time on a couple of months ago. Thanks again and I pray that both you and Sydney stay safe.

I try to be as accommodating to flight attendants as I can... I've seen some people treat them as servants and it really ticks me off.. In my experience every one has shown professionalism if treated with respect.. On my last flight a year ago returning from SE Asia on Singapore Air I got the names of the attendants in my area and sent a message to the airline telling them how great their service was.. Their automated reply said they would follow up with me and they never did... I'd feel bad if someone just threw my comment away and they didn't acknowledge to the flight attendants how happy a customer was...
