You make a good teacher. Then again you have always been interesting to listen too. :D

Great tutorial series. I'm completely new to Fusion 360 and while the documentation is good and there are some overview videos by Autodesk there wasn't any up to date tutorial that actually made something, walking through the steps. This is exactly what I needed, thank you.

I've been watching you for a long time and it's exciting to see this arrive, I know it's been in the works for a while. I had a question about the full curse and haven't had any luck figuring out where the best place to ask was. I'm interested in completing the course so I can make a home-made printer and was hoping to get an idea the rough costs for building it prior to paying for the full course.

The cost for the smaller unit 400mm dia is estimated at $640 + shipping / tax. So expect to pay more in the $750 ish range. To build it larger like the 700mm x 1000mm unit expect to pay $100 more. It can be tricky to get a heated bed that large up sourced and running.

would the free hobby edition be sufficient to work through this video course? In the middle of classwork right now, but after taking finals, would love to dabble through this. I just really don't want to pay the 500 for the dabbling (unless the free trial would be sufficient?)

Can you do a video about how to make a 3-D printer mid tear
@WatchItPrint4 жыл бұрын
I might be able to do something like that. It might be a while before I can make that.

Is there a reason you use Fusion 360 and not other technology?
@WatchItPrint4 жыл бұрын
Fusion 360 is positioning itself to be a platform for CADD, ECAD, and CAM. While it's not quite at the same level as current dedicated platforms today, this tool lets me explore many corners of engineering and manufacturing without a ton of complex and expensive licensing. So from a learning perspective, it's a fantastic platform. As for today, I would still prefer to work in SolidWorks but I'm not sure how long that will last as Fusion continues to develop.
