Hardly a slow roll. When an opponent throws YOUR hand in the muck, they're 1000% going to show you the winning hand. Besides they're probably friends or know each other.

@@ChrisJarzyk Georgia. Nearest casinos 5 hours away are Cherokee, NC and maybe Seminole Hard Rock. Round trip would be 10 hours, and through mountains for Cherokee, Also on tighter schedule than most, so unless that was like 30 minutes away on a day I wouldn’t be working instead, it’s not practical, especially if it’s a major loss session. Driving home after losing a few grand would be long and painful (that might be two paychecks down the tubes) as well as depressing . I couldn’t look anyone in the face if it happened.

The key to Pineapple is it is more like PLO than Holdem. Look for playing the nuts or near nuts. Fun game.

Seems to me one of the hardest things for these aspiring pros to deal with is the recreational player who has a large bankroll (that he can easily afford to lose) and comes to gamble, not play textbook poker strategy.

Yea, Pineapple can be crazy, just like PLO plays much bigger then the blinds make you think. Normal Pineapple is discard pre-flop, and crazy is post-flop, just for your education into the Pineapple world.

Why over jam with fours. I see this with some of my beginmer friends. It is okay to see a runout for a significant chunk of your stack. What cards call your jam other than better hands? Even if the board pairs, you will get paid nonetheless. If a seven runs out like in the video, you just may be able to let your set go. Is the jam with fours a value or a bluff....

A great action version is Crazy Pineapple Hi/Low split!..In this game it is amazing how weaker players highly overvalue key hands or don't pay attention to number of players in pot vs boards (is there a low possible? Then someone has it!)

Hard Rock Hollywood poker room is fine. Hotel jacks up the room rates on you however. Quotes you one rate and then a higher rate when you go to pay.

I've never played Pineapple, but I'm the KKsQs hand, I think you would've been better holding the KQs after the flop. The KK has a bit of showdown value, but you aren't able to continue on the turn bet unless one of the remaining two kings peels. The KQs has many more turn cards that could allow you to call a bet on the turn while drawing to the nuts.

You are playing Crazy Pineapple. Pineapple is discard preflop and Crazy Pineapple is discard post flop. I prefer pineapple as you just have more premium hands but not a lot of garbage hands and it makes it easier to read...imo.
