Why do the goalies in this league are padded up? But in the PLL the goalies aren’t?

Shaw doesn’t know what he’s talking about lol, despite being the same sport there are two different versions. One played indoors with much more padding and much less space(box/indoor). The other played outdoors with a lot less padding but with much more space.

@@semihekk7615 why is it the case that field lacrosse doesn't wear the same padding as box lacrosse? Are they not getting hit just as hard by the ball?

@@HaulinOats315PLL held a game in hamilton previously. They aren’t only sanctioned by USA lacrosse. Canada Lax also supports them and have field lacrosse leagues but they are semi pro/amateur

@@HaulinOats315 Basic traditions since the creation of outdoor lacrosse. However, outdoor lacrosse requires a lot more running since outdoor fields are longer with defensive players playing a major role in the sport. This is why defensive outdoor players have longer sticks to defend better. Box lacrosse is mostly a offensive shootout which is why indoor goalies need better paddings since they take way more shots against them.
