Things may actually get worse as far as time to do things you like/love- BUT loving, nurturing, teaching a tiny human is the most important. Give yourself lots of grace these next several years! Then you can teach your babies about loving to garden as well. It will be worth it. 💗💗💗 Enjoy it while you can!

Hi Natalie, that discoloration on the leaves of your lemon tree looks like chlorosis or a lack of iron. Also occurs when the soil type inhibits the plants ability to take up iron. Espoma has a line of organic fertilizers. Iron tone or citrus tone would be great for your tree. Thank you for sharing your beautiful garden with us! Just lovely!

Just wanted to say that I’ve really enjoyed your garden tour today. I grabbed my coffee and joined you while you strolled through your gardens. I’ve been watching your videos closely ( especially the worm education) and I didn’t realize until today how much we have in common. We are both girls growing in Cali, farming our worms, growing in raised beds, growing in green stalks, dreaming of more space, enjoying our cats named Oliver, loving our coffee and black eyed Susan blooms, killing and yet caring for our string of pearls. Unfortunately, one thing we have in common is that I think I may have beetle grubs in my container dwarf citrus tree too. Help, how did you come to that conclusion? By the way I joined Jill and Jess’s VIP gardening course. Maybe they will invite you to pop in during the live and answer some questions? It would be great to meet you and see a Cali girl and pick her brain. Also, You really have a knack for this videography, even though it was spontaneous, it appeared polished, passionate and very professional. I really enjoyed it.😍 One more thing, I just drew out my mobile greenhouse plans, you’ve inspired me, can’t wait to get started after Christmas 😉 However, I’m dragging my feet, I may have gotten one for Christmas 🎄 and I don’t want to hurt hubby’s feelings. 🤪 Happy Holidays, Christy from the Cali Valley 😁

Aw haha! Hello garden sister. Nice to meet you! So glad we could *have coffee together*. Way to make the most of it where you are! Sorry about the grubs. The only way to know for sure is to dig and find them 🥴 That would be an honor to join in on the fun over there in the VIP group. I’ll have to see about that! Keep me posted on your greenhouse!!! 😍

Ha watched your work farm video and I put a few worms in my raised beds last year and had great results! Going to start a worm farm soon! But I was wondering how you layer your raise garden beds?
@heyitsagoodlife3 жыл бұрын
That’s awesome, Sandi! Aren’t worms the best little garden helpers? As for our beds. We bought 10cubic yards of garden soil from a local soil company. I found this to be hugely lacking in adequate organic matter and since then have been adding castings, compost and mulch twice a year as top dressing before planting.

What is the product you use to prevent grubs infestation? I have a bad infestation and was forced to either throw away most of my soil or sterilize with boiling water or run through a sieve and hand pick them.
@heyitsagoodlife3 жыл бұрын
Ugh yeah. Handpicking is best. Then Removing all old soil. Then Treating old soil elsewhere. Then And adding new soil treated with milky spore to affected plants is a good plan of action
@marilynrafla66283 жыл бұрын
@@heyitsagoodlife I'll pick up some next time I go to a garden center. How do you apply it for containers? I grow in 24 by 17 inches totes, I will apply after the tomato plants stop producing so I can refresh the potting mix at the same time. How often do you need to apply to prevent future infestation?
