i generally believe in PDA being healthy for children to see but my problem with the video is the way the mom was looking at the child while doing it and talking to him about "grown folks stuff" like they were purposely making him uncomfortable. it made it seem like it was intended to be sexual and raunchy when she acted so matter of fact about it. that video felt like a violation to the child because of those actions. rubbing sexuality in your child's face in that manner can cause him to shut down and not want to discuss those things with you because of the uncomfortable way you introduce it.

Amanda and Adrienne, please understand that children are impressionable. Parents can show affection for each other, but not like that in front of their children. I have seen first hand, how children act out what they see at home. I have seen children as young as seven years old try to do inappropriate things to other children in the classroom. When you ask them where did they learn this kind of behavior, they will answer, "at home, on t.v. ect." Children are very observant, be careful how you present yourself before them.

And when Amanda speaks her truth and many people's truth people are quick to say "THAT'S A LIE!" because it aint their truth or experience. idk if it's a Caribbean thing but I didn't see anything wrong with it. If you go to a Haitian party you will see a few couples dancing like that. It's literally just dancing. I saw this growing up and it was a little embarrassing, but usually seeing parents showing pda is. It's not like I'm traumatized by it or anything.

The reason why this show is flopping: if you were to show this video 3 years go it would have been: ''Lies! Doin your bam bam bam in fron of yo kid, have several seats ma'am''. Now we get: '' why do we, as a society, have these preconceived notions about a curvy black body'' like............... we already know amanda's input every time, might as well skip her and her overused buzzwords. Not saying Tamar was an ideal person and that there were no issues between them but this is just boring and bland

Kissing and hugging is great. But that was too much for my taste. Too slow, long and sensual for in front of another person. Especially a child. And I bet Amanda would have thought so too, if the couple was white 😬 🤷🏻♀️

You can show your children that you adore your spouse without having them to witness actually acting out the bedroom action. Your children will feel the love inside the household. Also there are thousands of people who have great chemistry in the bedroom but they don’t match in „real life“ nor are they good parents in any way

It's not like being affectionate needs to be taught. It's inherently embedded naturally in human beings to be affectionate to love ones. So unless your child is a fucking psychopath, you don't need to show him how to be sexually affectionate to other human being.

we usually refer to God as our dad, our parent, that's how we relate with him.He loves us like our daddy. Imagine God like that? If u cannot imagine your overall creator in that imagination as his child, then it means it's wrong for u to be extreme with your own children like that PERIOD

I totally agree with Amanda and Adriane. Most of us never seen affection growing up and I personally didn't see anything wrong with their pda in front of their kid.

I think that the conversations being had in that family are what mattered. If they are talking to their child about love, marriage, etc. and also talking to them about their bodies and making sure they know that other people cannot touch them, hug them, etc. like their parents. Parents tell their kids to tell them if anyone ever touches them in an inappropriate way. What does inappropriate mean to a child...what they see at home? Kids are having sex at very young ages these days...if the family is having open, honest conversations with their kids -- it would make a big difference in how they feel about and approach sex, setting their own boundaries, appreciating other's boundaries, consent, etc. Communication that honest and open is what matters. No judgment, shame, embarrassment -- that's what makes them insecure and sets them off in the wrong direction. Be kind and thoughtful about their age and experiences and how scary it is for them. Seeing your parents dancing close for a few seconds is not going to affect that kid in a negative way. It seems like they were trying to get a reaction from him. Oh and people need to stay out of other people's homes and stop judging their parenting based on 1-2 min videos.

I'm actually shocked people were so offended by that PDA video. Am I the only person who saw no problem at all? I thought it was really sweet...honestly, perhaps it's cultural idk, but I've seen people dance that way at family events. I would say it's sensual rather than full on sexual and there's nothing wrong with that imo, especially since we're talking about a loving couple and a family dynamic. I even think it's healthy for the kids to see real committed love. People are so afraid of physical intimacy it's crazy. I just loved seeing all that Black LOVE ❤️. and yeah the kid was uncomfortable, but that's pretty normal for kids to be grossed out when their parents act lovey dovey. I thought it was fine but to each his own🤷🏾♀️

Amanda and Adrienne are wrong on this one. I wish the others restricted their overbearing energy and stayed true to their opinion. Jeannie is usually not afraid to have a different opinion but for this one, she decided to be passive.. probably because race was brought up. Amanda was immediately fired up once she realized she can bring race to the conversation, and Adrienne was fired up because it's sexual-related topic. How typical.
