Thank you!!! How do you have a show that is supposedly based on "DIVERSITY" with a "WOMEN OF COLOR" Agenda, but you skip over MAJOR TOPICS within the BLACK COMMUNITY that can and will also affect other minorities (people of color moments)? Then you will have people uneducated/ unwoke up in the threads talking about "WE NEED MORE LIGHT HEARTED TOPICS." Meanwhile the world is at a standstill with this new Police killing in Minneapolis. Even Trump had an opinion on that. I'm sure Amanda may have mentioned it to the other panel members, but again. this is why I say it defeats the purpose of her even being in a "space" like this. Three other women worried about gossip, relationships and hair and makeup, while people in the streets being killed for little to nothing SMH. They need 2 Amanda's On here. This is part of the problem, people want to go around issues that affect their communities following the white man's script and brushing things under the rug. Yet when the Pandemic hit, they had all the conversation in the world for that, when people were blaming the ASIAN community. It was people in these threads going hard for BLACK PEOPLE to come in SOLIDARITY with the ASIAN community at the beginning of that issue. But like I said before, see how when it is a MAJOR ISSUE affecting the BLACK COMMUNITY, not a word, let alone any SOLIDARITY for those same people who had all that mouth about how we should support the ASIAN COMMUNITY. Where they at during the GEORGE FLOYD case? HAVE NOT HEARD A PEEP FROM THEM. Even on CNN, where they at during the protest? I see more white people than the ASIAN COMMUNITY. So how does SOLIDARITY work again?

Anxiety is a disorder that needs to be treated by medication or therapy. If you are shy or insecure to the point where you are not functioning well in life because of it, it's something that needs to be addressed with a medical professional so that the right treatment can be administered. When it comes to the art of pursuing, women seem to think men will pursue if they want you bad enough but they neglect that men can also suffer from anxiety related issues. That being said, if you don't have an anxiety disorder and you are simply shy or insecure or just introverted and quiet, there's no amount of fear that will stop you from going after the things that you desperately want in life. If there is, again, it's most likely an anxiety issue and needs to be treated.

I agree with Jeannie & Tamera on these topics. I've been in the situation where you think the person is just nervous so you make more moves & after a tumultuous time, realized that they were never as into you from the start. Adrienne kept saying "No, what we're talking about is..." and completely changing the situation each time🤔 The topic wasn't about how some women like to be pursuers it was about letting go of guys that you've been with who make no effort for you now?? At least that's what I got from it. And on the second topic as well- RELATABILITY is everything. That's why this show is called "The Real." With so many issues, especially things like mental health. In the case of depression, you feel like no one is feeling what you're feeling. In this case, it's not that you wish bad on anyone, it just makes you feel seen and heard when someone else shares their struggles.

Alexandria Culver I was desperate in highschool and even in my early 20s. The dudes weren't going to make a move, so I knew I had too. I wanted to be liked so badly which is why I desperately made the first moves. Now? No way! I've matured and I will never allow myself to be embarrassed like that again. Im no longer desperate for a boyfriend so if someone comes along, fine. If not, oh well. Im done making the first move. Never again. I dont care who likes me and who doesnt. I never had anybody like me in a romantic way. And if they did, I certainly didn't know about it.
@gaila.98524 жыл бұрын
@UCRVa5-WJC8dAgO3YdzC8OEQ You shouldn't let your period of desperation determine your attitude for the rest of your life. If you truly like someone from now on, don't be afraid to let them know. "I don't like feeling like the man in a courtship." Gender roles have got to go.

Hey girl! I can agree with you to an extent! I typically always have to pursue and make the first move as well. I know you don’t like feeling like the man in the courtship but have any of them opened up and mentioned that they always liked you but were maybe too intimated, shy etc to make the first move. Most of the guys opened up to me by saying they did not want to come off as disrespectful but were interested in me. I was flattered nonetheless and I don’t want it to discourage you from making the first move again! Let me know your thoughts. I am 26 btw

If a guy really wants you he will persue you. In my first year of Varsity I liked this guy so much but he just seemed to not be interested. So I went on to dating other guys but I still made sure that he knew I was still around. It took him 4 month to ask for my number and another 4 to ask me on a date. It turned out he was really shy and was also recovering from depression. Till this day we've been together for almost 3 years. So yes if a guy is really into you he will persue you. Even if it takes him a whole 8 months 😅 and if not then honey he's just not that into you

Even a shy guy will find a way. It has happened a lot around me. When I was working in Foreign Affairs, I watched this guy interactions for a whole week. She came from the US and him from the Army, and they were both there for research. They would talk together when they would arrive and at the end of their day. There was chemistry but I could tell that he was very interested. I just kept looking at their interactions because they were cute together. Except for a good morning, we never truly talk. At the end of the week, it was their last day and he has to leave early. He came to me with a note, asking me to give it to her once would finish. Of course, I read it and in his note he was very respectful and left her his email address. It was very smooth. I gave it to her and she was very surprised! But she still blushed. That's when I realized that even though he didn't seem like it he was too shy to be upfront with her. However, he still found a way to let her know that he was very much interested.

Failure is definitely at times a necessity for growth. I can’t tell you the number of times I’ve fallen, messed up, made poor choices because it’s been well a lot. However, I’m better because of it. I think that definitely people talking about an intimate failure on social media is difficult but also helpful. It makes you feel less alone in your struggle, and even if you can not relate to the specific situation, you may learn something from it. In respect to people complaining about the lack of conversation about the George Floyd issue. I’m sure it has something to do with how the seasons episodes were laid out. I have been listening to these powerful beautiful and inspiring women for a long time now. I have no doubt that each of them have very deep thoughts and emotions about what has happened. From the little that I’ve gained about them from just the show; I am very sure that this is in their minds and hearts. They have also touched on numerous social injustices and systemic inequalities so I have no doubt that they are doing do diligence with respect to George Floyd. This show isn’t the only place where they demonstrate their values and they have other projects. I’m just saying, before we place judgement upon them and the show we should take time to recognize that it is in fact a show that is representative of all kinds of topics and that given that they have never shied away from real conversations about brutality and injustices against the black community; I definitely do not believe that this is what is happening. We have too much pain, too much hate, too much judgement without forethought in our world. Please don’t take this as me coming at anyone in particular; just saying before we judge we should reflect and recognize that there may be other reasons for the topic not being addressed. I know our nation is in a very fragile place right now and there is a tremendous amount of anger as there should be; but we do have to take time to listen and be patient with ourselves and community leaders who have proven to be constructive (these ladies included).

Some men over think and they assume you are with someone. We can't put men in a box. We don't want them to put us in a box. A man can be into you but very insecure. Sometime fear over ride passion. It also depends on what a man has been through. Some men don't handle rejection well. Pluse men sometimes they are not ready. All men are not to same. Some are passive-aggressive. Some are too aggressive /passive. Some are just slow. 🤔

This goes both ways. If a woman really likes a man, she will forget the silly gender role and make her feelings known.

Listen, just because you think you're giving off come hither signals doesn't mean you are... perception is different for all of us...other than that I agree with Jeanie

This is not true. I have been friends with someone for YEARS and REALLY, really, wanted to take our friendship to the next level, but I was too scared to ruin the friendship, too scared of rejection. etc. Of course that may hinder things in life, but that isn't the question at hand... so no, just because a guy doesn't take that step, it doesn't mean they aren't always into you. (Most times yes LOL).

I wish they had talked more about shyness. You can't assume all these people are insecure.

I've loved this though I believe if a man wants a lady, he has to pursue as much as he can , I think I can't do the passive aggressive kind of men

It's true if a guy really wants a women they should and will pursue them. However, some guys are more shy and layed back and want the women to pursue them because they don't want to come off thirsty.

The right woman will make a guy come out of his shell, because he most definitely doesn't want anyone else to snatch up his prize..

There’s a difference between to pursue and to chase. A man who pursues you comes from a secure stance. He knows himself as a man and knows that you as a woman will compliment his life. A man chasing you comes from an insecure place of he must have you or his life will end which is not attractive to me anymore. Those ones fizzle out once he’s won you. With regards to Adrienne’s point, I don’t agree because even shy dudes can have confidence and will approach you in a genuine manner. An insecure man, is one who will eventually be the jealous type. Please ain’t nobody got time for that.

This isn't about random guys approaching you at a bar. It is about consistency in dating. Yes, men can be shy but women shouldn't blame a man's inconsistency on "shyness". Even the most shy guy will put forth effort in a way that feels comfortable to him. If you don't really hear from him, if he hardly sets up plans with you and if he is not actively trying... are you still going to blame it on his "shyness"?

Some people are don't know their own worth to pursue what they desire because they don't feel they deserve it out that they wouldn't be go enough for that person & don't wanna hurt that person with their brokenness. I agree with Ade.

i avoid sharing some of my failures in dating because of wanting a certain way of the whole process of how they way someone should pursue me and the way i envisioned how it should go in my mind

i think even if hes into me, if he can' be consistent and there for me due to his insecurities... the he isn't the one for me. we all have to work on ourselves before we're ready for the relationship

Why does it say "Full Girl Chat" and then it's cut off while Tam was still talking? How long are TV episodes really? Half an hour or an hour? Just wondering.

First of just because I don’t automatically pursue you, doesn’t mean am insecure, I hate that stereotype, secondly women make it to hard for men to pursue them like that, and thirdly, why do we need to play these high school game, you and I ain’t got time for that, just be straightforward. He/she can either yes or not.
