It’s so refreshing to listen to a man who is filled with positivity and optimism, who smiles while he speaks, who has a sense of humor, and who doesn’t spend his air time attacking, belittling, name calling, disparaging, exaggerating, lying, ego stroking. Veteran. Twenty four years in the Army. Teacher. Coach. Married to a teacher. Talk about a guy who can actually relate to everyday people. What a great pick for a VP running mate. I think this guy will bring some great things to the democratic ticket.

I love how he talked about helping neighbors and the common good. I grew up in MN, and that is exactly what we did. In the winter, you carry a shovel and a bag of sand in your trunk, so you can help folks get out of the ditch if necessary. Walz is lying about his military service record. He was conditionally promoted from Master Sergeant to Sergeant Major E9 and was required to complete the SGM Academy Course to retain his rank. He had reenlisted for 6 years not 4 years as he recalls it. Then Walz learned his unit was scheduled to deploy to Iraq soon and a couple of months prior to deployment decides it is time to retire to avoid being sent to a hostile region. Because he failed to attend the SGM Course he was demoted back to Master Sergeant. He did not retire as a Sergeant Major as he claims. He did not deploy to Iraq in 2005. He does not put his country first as the Dems are describing him. He let his Soldiers down. He is not a leader. He is a coward and a liar. He showed his true colors and is now trying to spin the truth.

I’m a younger millennial, 2-3 years from being gen z and I can honestly say this is the first time I’ve been able to be enthusiastic about an election. In my voting years it’s been more about trying to choose the lesser evil but these two…seem like genuinely good people with solid histories to back up what they are saying.

A German here - I´ve been an exchange student in 2013/14, while Obama was president. The country always had its issues, but when I got back 2018, the four years of Trump have been hell. Only thing I can say, as a guy, who was always interested in American politics - holy cow, Tim Walz brings energy to this race and he better does. He is the perfect democratic counterpart and I have no idea, why the hell they did not come up with him earlier.

Well this was something huh. I realize it's all theathre and showmanship but my god did he nail this. I'm not even a US citizen but I felt elated. And not in a haha the other side sucks way but more in a hurray for descent people way. The republican leadership was cut to size, they ARE weird. Not all powerfull and imposing, just kinda weird.
