Well that's very standard in retail fashion, higher end brands and luxury brands will not hire you if you don't fit the image. If you're overweight they will also not hire you, they will use the same reason 'you don't fit the brand'. And many times that's literally true as their uniforms or clothing that they sell in store don't go higher than a UK size 10 which is a US size 8. This has been going on in the modeling industry for decades. I was a male model in the late 80's through the 90's and early 2000's. I had a meeting with the head of the men's division of a major modeliing agency who was a man. He tried to get me to take of clothes and have sex with him. I told him I was not interested in anything like that and left. They ended up calling me back and signing me anyway. He never tried that nonsense again.
