My favorite cocoa cay story- picture it, the hammocks by the Oasis Lagoon, hubby went to the bathroom and I decided to relax in a hammock. I sat down, tilted forward on my knees. I rocked back and flipped a$$ over teakettle. Landed on my back in the mulch with my feet in the air. I was stone cold sober.

This was great. I must say that the prices for cabanas have increased dramatically since your video. You won’t find a cabana for less than $1,000. The over water cabanas cost at least $2,000.

Which is the Best location / beach to go to with a disabled mom (she will have a scooter)? I see the trams have a roll on for wheelchairs and scooters, so that is great. I'm looking for a beach Close enough to places I can run back and forth to get her water, food, bathroom access, etc and somewhere that isn't so loud. More laid back. the prices for things have gone parabolic now, thrill waterpark is currently $170 for our thanksgiving cruise, cabanas like $3k, almost $300 for regular pass to coco beach. ill likely go off early, snorkel a bit, and then get back on the ship to take advantage of the pool areas being quiet.
@TravelingFlamingo Жыл бұрын
That sounds like a good plan. Wow that’s expensive! Especially if you are a large family, I’ll go to a cheaper water park at home.

The beach I would recommend would be the the first one on chill island. That is where you can rent the snorkelling gear. When you get off the ship turn left to go under the chill island sign, go over the bridge and then it is the first island area on the left :) hope that helps

Very helpful.. that zip line price seems a rip off !!
@TravelingFlamingo2 жыл бұрын
It wasn't something I would try, plus they have a zip-line on many Royal Caribbean ships which is free, its also more expensive as its their own island. You can do zip-lining on many other ports in the Caribbean much cheaper so definitely agree :). Happy Travels English Guy! 🦩

They have them on and off depending on the time of year and how busy it is. I think the complexity for them is policing it since no one checks tickets after you enter however there are sailing with half day (at least as of that video). Apparently it still pops up to this day but again depending on sailing and how busy it is. Hope that helps Melissa! Happy Travels 🦩

One Bad Thing about the buffet that I experienced was the food that is left out for taking hamburgers hot dogs etc tend to be attacked by flies on the island. When I was there there were flies all over the food. They should serve them under food nets to keep the situation under control.

That is a really good point. I wonder if it is worse at some times of year. Nets are a great idea!

Is worth to rent bed
@TravelingFlamingo2 жыл бұрын
Good question: if you get off the ship early enough you won’t have a problem getting a couple beach chairs. The beds are reserved so you don’t have to rush to get it, they are also spread out so you aren’t as crowded. I think it depends if you are going to be busy in the water and doing different activities or relaxing on the beach if it is worth it.
