@@Liongamer3000 i like some parts of mm17 cuz it has some of my fav songs and a good miku design but the projection lighting is mid but in my opinion 39's giving final 2012 is the best, Off topic but mm17 miku's hair reminded me of sprite Edit: forgot to mention but the normal miku design for later concerts after this one made miku look more fake (as in not looking real) Except snow miku 2019 miku design looks more japanese

I don't know if I agree with people who are saying this set list is better than modern Miku concerts, but there is something to be said about playing nearly two hours of classic songs. Everyone in the audience knew every song by heart, and there's so much community in that. Vocaloid has expanded so much, and so has the sheer number of songs released every day. This is a great thing, and the newer shows reflect this growth. It is a shame, however, that there's a risk of songs being unknown to a large portion of the audience unless they are literally glued to the scene every day to catch every song that comes out. A little bit of that group comradery is lost in the new set lists, but that is the nature of an expanding genre. Perhaps they should consider bringing the 39s concerts back specifically, for us old heads lol

I'm one of the old fogies (66) that thinks the older concerts are far superior. I've watched nearly all of them from 2009 to 2016, and just watched the MM 2023. The earlier concert playlists have a character and quality that makes the songs instantly endearing. I fell in love with so many of the songs upon first hearing them, whereas the later concerts just seem like repetitive noise. I think the musical orchestration of the early bands was better also. I saw 2 Miku Expos live in LA which featured mostly these earlier playlists. I would never pay to see the new concerts. I also own 3 blu-ray concerts - 2010 39's Giving Day, 2013 Miku Live Party Kansai, and 2013 Magical Mirai. All unique and indefinitely re-watchable.

I love this concert so much! even it was 11 years ago, I still crying for every single song. very thankful we have miku and the vocaloid family. hope that Magical Marai concert will keep go every year!

I remember when this concert and its Mikupa counterpart came out and some people were trying to say that they would be the last Miku concerts ever LOL. Anyway, I still find this superior to Magical Mirai. Everything is perfect, from the amazing intro, to the brass and string sections, classic but refreshing setlist, stage setup, 2nd encore, and the arcade models. I had an amazing time both times I went to Miku Expo, but the classic arcade models really are the smoothest and best looking on stage. I wish Crypton would still use them.

I miss the arcade models so much. Like you said, the new ones for MikuExpo look fine, but they never feel as "present". And it doesn't help that modern Miku concerts have her switching model types between songs from Future Tone to the older MikuPa model (which imo has some of the best hair physics. Like Jello), breaking the immersion of her as a live entertainer as her body changes drastically every few minutes lol.

I can agree with everything here except for the use of the arcade models. I've always felt that the arcade models looked pretty wonky and I really prefer the Project Diva F/X style models they've been using a lot in the more recent concerts since this one. Compared to the arcade models I feel like the shading on them looks much cleaner and they look more lively than the arcade ones (the arcade models have always looked a little dead inside to me). The F/X style models are a better representation of an anime art style in a 3D model format, which I think works perfectly for Miku because she's not supposed to be realistic, a big part of her appeal is that she isn't actually a real person, she's a character, and the more stylized/less realistic models really sell that point. (Like the other comment said, they've been using a lot of different models between songs in newer concerts, so just to clarify this is the kind of model I'm talking about: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rmPJg4Zngq2MgrMsi=7G1m9GtvGHoc-Mx7 I also feel like this video shows that they're a lot more expressive than the old arcade models too)

This performance of Tell Your World is still the best concert moment to date (and I've watched all concerts available and have been to two). It's so magical and filled with emotion. The performances of Tell Your World after this (with the MikuPa module) don't convey any of that feeling. It pales in comparison 😭

ミクのライブは、いまだにこの公演を超えるものがないと思う。 それは、円盤のコメンタリーからうかがえるように、ミクというデジタル歌姫を そこに実在させようというスタッフ一丸となった想いであり、ミク愛であり、ク リエイターとしての想像力と熱量なのだろう。 そこからは、ステージ後方にデジタルイメージ映像を流しておけばいいだろうと いった発想は出てこないだろう。 もちろんミクパも好きだし、MIKU EXPOも良い。2016のZeppなどセトリも素敵だった。

I love the actual concerts, but this one has a special place in my heart I enjoyed so much the 39's lives! The opening is so good, the transition between the songs are good, the musicians are incredible and the audience is so into it, there's so much love in this live ! We can also see how the music made with Vocaloids evolved in this past decade and I feel so proud to be part of this fanbase :) Thanks for posting the show :D

With Miku I don't feel pain, so I can work the hardest for my dreams! P. S.: I've finally found a concert of my dream: with my favorite PDFT Hatsune Miku V2 and without Kagamines and Megurines. I'm just monogamous. I tried to love other Vocaloids, but I still loved only Hatsune Miku.
