Full house! Hyundai Palisade 2023 review: Updated full-size seven- and eight-seat SUV tested

On a personal experience recently. I was T boned at an intersection. The third party ran a red light & was travelling in excess of 70 km/hr. This car saved my life. No doubt at all. I walked away with whiplash & a Shoulder injury. The palisade felt like it was going to tip over, but landed on all 4 wheels. Curtain airbags and passenger side airbag deployed. And I am here to tell the tale.

A good honest review. Not sure about long term durability as my 2018 Santa Fe Highlander with only 9000ks on the clock electric tail gate has stopped working. My local dealer are in no hurry to fix it.

If dealers would stop charging 7 to 10k over MSRP then it would be a good value. 60K for Palisade is just not a good idea.

Did you compare the speakers? I own old palisade as well as bought a new one. I am finding new palisade speakers not producing good sound as compared to old palisade. In fact i hear nothing till volume level 30. To me this is a regression by Hyundai.

Hyundai Palisade 2.2L engine reliable or not? Is this very good quality engine and usable for 300k km? Can you say honestly about it?

Go to used car sites and check for cars above 200k km. The list is full of Toyota, Mitsubishi, Ford and the odd other cars. There are also several Hyundai cars as well, especially the diesel ones. However, Hyundai petrol engines also have improved a lot in the last 3-4 years and they should last over 200k or 300k. I own a 2.2L engine Genesis and hope to run it for 10 years and 150k km at least, but it should run well over 250k. So far no problem.

Shouldn't the entry for the 3rd row be from the left (port) side... looks like the entry for the 3rd row seat was designed for the left hand driving and did not convert it for right hand drive.
