I would be happy to send pics of the finished job. He is doing an excellent job and I told him to just take his time and enjoy the process. Thanks again. You are awesome!

You make this look so easy and I think I can do it since I’ve already tackled hanging floating shelves, etc. The part that scares me is installing the drawers in my pantry and other base cabinets. Thank you.

@@DIYwithMAX I’m going to do it! I watched the building of the cabinets and the drawers are not the traditional slide rails I’ve wrestled with in the past, they’re easier and so are the hinges. Thank you.

My husband wants to know how do you attach the bottom of the wall cabinet to the wall? He is installing them now. Thank you!
@DIYwithMAX8 ай бұрын
Thank you for the questions if you are using rails as I was then the bottom of cabinet does not need to be attached to the wall as the weight of the cabinets and countertops will hold it in place. All you have to do is attach the little feet to the back of the cabinet so they act as spacers. And you may have to use shims to align the cabinets if your wall is not straight. I hope this helps. If you have more questions just email me at DIYwithMax@gmail.com and we can get in contact.

@@DIYwithMAX thank you so much. That’s exactly where he’s at in the process putting in the shims. I guess he just needed confirmation that the bottom of the cabinets don’t need to be attached. Thank you so much for your video. It is very helpful and I will keep your email in case we need help. Thanks so much! ♥️

@MariMari-ny6si my pleasure always happy to help. When you fill all the cabinets, the weight of the stuff will keep the shims in place and also if your doing backsplash that will seal the from the bottom so they will not fall out. If you’re comfortable send me some pics of the finished product. I’m always interested how the projects turn out for the folks that reach out to me. Good luck 👍 you guys got this. PS your Husbend is lucky to have there helping him out it’s not an easy one man job.

Any concerns with the weight capacity of the corner wall cabinet. We’re planning on the model with shelves. Only 2 rail hooks for a heavy piece looks sketch. Any ideas for securing more?
@DIYwithMAX7 ай бұрын
The weight will be balanced between the rail on the wall and the legs underneath. I would not worry about it at all if you do double crews like we show in our video.
@bg60187 ай бұрын
@@DIYwithMAX Thanks for the quick response! I was referring to the corner wall cabinet. Not the base. With only 2 hooks, has there been any limits on how much the cabinet can handle?

@@DIYwithMAX You didn’t answer my question. Any weight concerns with the WALL CORNER CABINET. not base.
@DIYwithMAX7 ай бұрын
@bg6018 sorry about that. We used screw that are rated for 80lb of sheer weight. And at we attached the rail through the holes provided and one underneath the rail so that 160 lb of strength per stud. If you follow that practice you should be just fine.

any info on the kitchen floor tiles dimension, colour and where you bought them? I'm being harassed by my girlfriend to find out.
@DIYwithMAX Жыл бұрын
She has good taste. The size is 12 by 24 large format tile should be easy to find in Homedepot if you are in the US. If you want the name and details of the tile shoot me an email and I’ll send you the picture of the tile box. If she convinces you to do the tile feel free to reach out if you have any questions at DIYwithMax@gmail.com. Good luck

Does IKEA recommend having the floor installed for cabinet install? I love this method rather than installing cabinets onto subfloor. Thank you.

@siasgal62 no it’s something we did because we will not be changing the floor any time soon.
