Great video. I can't bind my M2 hub with the smart lock, but the M2 is bind with my other Aqara device. And I can bind the part lock to HomeKit. Any hint what is the problem. The hub is at 5 feet away from the lock. thanks in advance

No that's a weird one. Sorry! I'd talk direct with Aqara on it

Thankyou for cutting the camera at the only moment that mattered to me. Seeing you enter the code. I enter the code, and it does nothing then times out.

My neighbor watches our house when we're gone, but I'd like his pin code to work only when we're away. (He has a nasty habit of barging in unannounced, especially when my wife is home alone.) Is this an option here? Thank you
@TechYourLife1 Жыл бұрын
Yeah, it's something you could turn on and off. I think you'd have to delete the pin code though, so it's not an automated use case

At 7:08 - Why couldn't you just move the lock body up or down to accommodate the deadbolt after the door jam hole was corrected for the size of the deadbolt? As you had at least 20mm of room to play with either way, by the looks of it.. just curious.

Wrong type of hole. Square hole, round peg...or something like that

What is the distance between the mounting holes in the aqara u100 lock

I have no idea what you're asking unfortunately. You'll have to ask Aqara support

Thanks for the video! It looks like if I try doing any Alexa automations, I'm limited to only locking it. Even with the settings to allow Alexa to unlock it. Any suggestions? Am I missing something?

I find making sure the lock works fully smoothly before removing the old lock is the best way to do this. These do get out of alignment over time as houses/buildings move a bit over time, so especially older buildings end up with locks out of alignment. Many of us compensate by pushing on a door to get it to lock properly. It is more common than you'd think when retrofitting. I have two August locks (because they were the cleanest retrofit while keeping it looking original on the outside (building corporation rubbish)) and both of the locks needed some alignment work to get them to work smoothly before swapping to the smart locks. Calibration is mostly used to determine which way is locked, as depending what side the lock is on, locked and unlocked could be opposite :)

Do you need wifi to setup the lock or can you just do it via Bluetooth?

It's Bluetooth and ZigBee, so no WiFi. If I remember correctly

Hello! Great video! If you have TV (hardware, box), don’t you need its proprietary hub (optional)?

Brian my compliments to you on this video specifically you seem to be the only one that took the time to note (indirectly) that Aqara's app actually walks one through the physical installation of the lock (something I haven't see else where)! Thus pretty much making it brain dead to install!!

I bought this from a guy and I'm trying to reset this thing and there doesn't appear to be a way unless I get a password or fingerprint from the original guy but this last guy was the second owner and that's why he sold it to me wtf. Is there a way to hard reset
@TechYourLife15 ай бұрын
Ask Aqara's support team. I'm sure there's a full factory reset somewhere
