This set is a heavy modification of Lego's 20th Anniversary Slave 1 #75243. The outside footprint of the ship is very similar to Lego's play scale design, but the interior is completely redesigned and reinvented to fit much more in a small space. Boba Fett can now sit in the cockpit with two other mini figures and there is room for two passengers (or prisoners) below the cockpit. The passenger area swings with the rotation of the ship so that it correctly sits whether horizontal or vertical. There are instructions for a custom stand included as well which securely displays the ship in a vertical flying position.
Here are the Instructions for my Slave 1 MOC: reb.li/m/167592
Check out Brickupgrade's custom Slave 1 too: • Most Entertaining Boba...

@@BAUFmanBricks I’ve looked at eBay (Kleinanzeigen) which is an extra platform apart from eBay, and found it brand new in box for 130€ (instead of 119€ Msrp). Of course you have to look it up more often but sometimes you’ll get a good deal there, its not like every set of these is still cheap but i was pleasantly surprised as many of the other sets that are end of lineup skyrocket into crazy price spheres in no times. Btw you do amazing builds, i personally leave my sets as they are but your tie fighter for example is 10/10 perfect i wish lego would do one like that.

This is just amazing. I recently watched the Book of Boba Fett, and I'm just feeling "dreckig" (it literally means dirty, but like in the term of you feel bad) that I didn't buy the set as it was available for that time. But as the force wants it my buddy gifted me this set early for birthday ,as he is in Japan for May. I wanted to make it a little more accurate to the Movies/Series; and imma be honest with you, that shit is amazing. Can't wait to get the parts and build it in may. Greetings from Germany 🇩🇪

I did this same thing to my 20th Anniversary Slave I!! I really wasn't a fan of the boxy look of it so I smoothed the front section out with some 2X4 slope curved bricks, and faded some of the detail that connected to some boxier sections with smaller slopes and wedges. Love how yours turned out and that you were able to fit so many characters in the cockpit!

@@BAUFmanBricks Fair point, I have also had my issues with PAB. I do appreciate the convenience of you making these out of common pieces. I just bought practically all of the pieces to your Imperial Shuttle. The only piece unavailable without a good alternative on PAB was the big white printed vent piece (easy enough to find for an affordable Bricklink price). I also like to use PAB when there is a gift with purchase that it would count for. The way I see it, I’m getting those fresh pieces for an amazing design and an extra set I can sell, and recoup some of the cost. The shuttle cost a little over 100 to buy all the pieces for. Worth every penny. Once all of the pieces for your designs are in, I’m going to buy the instructions and have an amazing summer. Thanks again!

Can you do a B wing next? The ucs one is cool but the last playscale one sucked. Would love to see you either modify the 75050 b wing set or do your own version of the B wing! Ideally with rotating cockpit. Or how about an expanded universe accurate E Wing? The one in the recent Ashoka show, that was released as a set, isn’t an E Wing IMHO. I grew up on the expanded universe and in it the the E wing is much more heavily armoured and armed than it appears in the show, including secreting it’s astromech within the hull of the ship and having a third canon atop the cockpit!

135$ is the estimate to mod this set? It's a really nice mod but that costs more than the original set retailed for. I really just want to mod the outside so the front of the ship is flush. I don't like the boxy section on the front with the missile launchers. Do you think I can make the front of the ship more flush with just the parts included in the set or without a whole bunch of extra pieces?
@BAUFmanBricks

The modification should not cost anywhere near $135. It might cost that much if you don’t subtract the original set pieces from the inventory. No, you can’t make it smooth with just the set pieces. You will need to buy sloped curved pieces to smooth the front better

As a very long time LEGO Collector starting back in the early 1970's. I hate how now the cost of the sets are so huge? And how the now film themed sets like star wars or whatever are super pricey even compared to normal LEGO sets! Just seems to me that they are greedy at LEGO company and they know some fans will and do spend silly amounts of cash to own the newest sets even if they sell for Hundreds of Pounds. I mean look at the star wars LEGO Millennium Falcon, the set costs almost £600 For a set which is not that much pieces amount wise that at least half are special bricks just made for that set. Just really a huge rip off by LEGO, they are and have been the worlds top selling Toy for over 70 years. They could sell the sets for 10% what they do now and still be rolling in billions.
@BAUFmanBricks

I do find it highly suspect when sets do not feature unique molded pieces or minifigures. For example, I like the new midi-scale ships but they don’t seem very unique or exclusive with their pieces, shouldn’t they drop a bit in price compared to other sets?
