@@Crossbones6732 that was just a gozanti class. Used as a transport ship more than ship to ship combat. Generally an imperial light cruiser refers to the arquitens class. (Similar to what moff Gideon has in the mandalorian, but a bit smaller. Gideons has really weird proportions if you compare the diameter of the launch tube being able to fit both a folded up lambda shuttle, AND a tie fighter tightly.)

When she pressed that button i thought that was going be *boom, slave 1 destroyed* but nope, little baby charge. The prequel charge was MILES wide.

There is a backstory. extremely short version: He was somewhat known to bring in targets as piles of ash (the result of disintegration rifles) which were unidentifiable. Difference between boba fett and other bounty hunters was he didn't just zap some random scum and bring in that pile of ash, he actually got the target.

Back in 1980 hen the Slave 1 toy came out it showed the two rapid fire lasers like the ones Jango shot at Kenobi over Geonosis. I still have my Slave toy in a storage shed.

Considering the armament of the Slave I, especially once upgraded by Boba Fett, I think it can reasonably be expected to take down Imperial Star Destroyers. Fire a couple concussion missiles or proton torpedos at the bridge of an ISD and it's basically useless. After all, the destruction of the Executor at the battle of Endor happened because its command bridge was destroyed, causing it to lose control and crash into the second Death Star. Even not considering that option, with its heavy armament and speed/maneuverability, Boba Fett could easily destroy the bulbous and exposed shield projector domes with some proton torpedos or concussion missiles. He could also seriously damage, or even outright cripple the sublight engines, once again using proton torpedos or concussion missiles. This would leave the only options for the ISD being to flee into hyperspace, or hope its fighter complement could take out the Slave I with potential assistance from its tractor beam projectors. And this is highly unlikely to succeed, even with the tractor beam projectors.

Don't forget how powerful a seismic charge is at close range that could easily do severe damage to a star destroyer. They already need to be careful of asteroid fields like the ones we saw get blown up by the charges.

By Lando's reaction to Vader requesting to carbon freeze a living being, I'd say it was not a thing people did up to that point. In addition, Boba Fett also showed serious reservations about the process killing his bounty. I believe once Han was presented to Jabba, the practice of Carbon Freezing bounties became widely adopted. I hope Dave Filoni and John Favreau show Slave I docking in space, using the docking ring forward of the thruster assembly. I don't think anyone has shown that yet. But I wouldn't consider it a starfighter, it would be in the same class as the Razor Crest, an assault vessel. Somewhere between a light freighter and a starfighter.

The big issue with the Slave-1 is (until the knock offs started being produced) that it advertised who the pilot was, and even after the 'homage' versions came out it still screamed _Bounty Hunter._ So? … So that alerted anyone with a bounty on them, giving them a heads up that it's time to run or hide… or get their crew together to fight, or ambush. And the entire spaceport will be buzzing with the news that the Fett has arrived. As well, until the tribute version is in production, getting spares will be a issue. A better option? A light Corellian freighter, hotted up with all the performance mods that a smuggler gets … and able to blend in with the smuggler crowd. Add in enough firepower to be Q-Ship and all the other goodies and toys, ditching most of the cargo freight capacity, and you're the ultimate Wolf in scrangy mutts clothing. Able to mingle with the scum without tipping them off. You won't be getting hit by a turbolaser as you come in to land, you wont be sniped at or trigger a bomb as you step off your ship. And you'll be able to sneak up on your target with them completely unaware.

It's actually a terrible design like a ton of starwars ships, starwars ships are mostly designed to look cool first and then figure out what you could actually fit inside it second. When in flight if you want to attack someone with it the largest portion of your ship is facing the enemy. I don't think I really need to elaborate on why that is a bad idea.
