I am great to be able to continue on my same budgeting path. My goal is not to build wealth but to rather stay on our budget, keep out of debt and keep my health in a good place. I do the old envelope style of budgeting but are actually on a spread sheet and in the credit union. I don't spend ANYTHING that is not in the budget, 27 years ago my husband and i were both coming out of a divorce and starting over financially. I am a saver and my husband was a saver. I came to our marriage with assets and he had nothing but debts. I taught him to budget and save and now we have a retirement savings, IRA's a nice condo a paid-for older model car. When the fridge dies we have the money to replace it. and in 2021 when the furnace and water heater died we had the cash to replace them both. Sacrifice and hard work pays off.
